Morning Math 🧮 This morning, I completed a descending push-up ladder, starting with 10 push-ups, then 9, then 8, all the way down to 1. I started again at 9 and worked down to 1, then 8 to 1, continuing until my final ladder was just 1 push-up. Part 1: Do the Math How many push-ups did I complete altogether? Part 2: Show Your Thinking How could you use algebra to find the total without adding every ladder individually? Part 3: Take It Further If I had started at 11 instead of 10, how many additional push-ups would I have completed? Part 4: Think About Your Thinking What pattern did you notice? How do you know your strategy works? How could you check your answer?
