Senegal makes history as the first African country to host an Olympic event. 🔥🔥🔥
The Dakar 2026 Summer Youth Olympic Games are officially underway.
This time last week I was having a ball watching Jay-Z perform. Tonight I enjoyed a bonfire with friends while eating churros, brisket, and peach soda. Life is generous ✨

'People' are so guilty of reverse-engineering intention from impact. You say something, it provokes a particular emotion in them and rather than recognise that emotion as their own response to your words, they reconstruct your statement through the lens of what it made them ...

feel and attribute that same feeling to you as your original intention.
They don't just misunderstand your words, they mistake their interpretation of your intentions for knowledge of them. They assume that because your words hurt them, you intended to hurt them, because your

words offended them, you intended to offend them. The possibility that their emotional response and your original intention might be entirely different rarely occurs to them.

Women who have had careers and ambition before children should not be listening to those who did not. That has become more apparent to me as of late. Two entirely different worldviews that cannot be reconciled.

My husband makes 500k-750k. We own our house outright. We have no debt. My kids college funds are done. I still work. I have never had any desire not to, though I have worked from home for the entirety of my kids lives.
I don’t like early childcare. It’s very tedious, isolating, frustrating, boring. I simply have no desire to do it for more than 6 hours a day. After every weekend, I am glad Monday is coming because I don’t have to mind small kids for the entire day.
I would quit my job to homeschool my children age 5+, but I do not want to deal with them all day every day when they are 4 and under.
Irrespective to my desire to go…I have definitely entered the space in this life where I believe in “showing my face” no matter what—if I’m able. I’ve never regretted showing up for people. Especially those that I love.

This is how you build a community. By SHOWING UP in person for your people. How many times did we hear our parents say “I don’t feel like it, but I’m gonna go and show my face for a lil bit.” That’s why THEY have ppl coming out the woodwork for them whenever it’s their turn!
Birthday parties. Funerals. Hospital visits. We're raising our kids to attend anything they're invited to that's meaningful to someone else, even if they might prefer doing something else. Always go to the funeral.
