I remember my mom and dad used to go to their friends’ parties and my mom used to just have me lie on people’s coats when I got tired. They were NOT going home because of me and, honestly, I respect that. I think it’s important to still have a life outside of your kids.
My childhood was filled with attending my parents’ social events and hanging out with the other kids there and then falling asleep on some random couch or chair. We are losing recipes.

Early marriage when you are financially stable >>>>>> I envy one of my secondary school mates that got married at the age of 26. Currently he is 35 and his children are 9 years.

White people need to sit and think about why their kids are being outperformed at school instead of jumping straight to racism. Children of immigrants simply have a level of hustle that most white kids just dont have anymore.
The fact that Dartford Grammar School for Girls has gone from 52% 'share of pupils classified as white British' to just 7% in ONE decade is truly staggering. Dartford. In Kent. In England.

When I blocked out the “UK is hell (financially)” noise and focused on my own feelings, it confirmed I’m not going anywhere. Nothing is perfect and there’s always more/a better life elsewhere, but I’m good man.

Utterly shocking news about Professor Jason Arday. It really shouldn't have ended like this. May he rest in peace.

One of the greatest privileges in adulthood is being able to love your parents without constantly worrying about how to save them.

Having parents who are financially able to take care of themselves is such an underrated blessing as an adult child.

Thank you. Any kind of age shaming or fear of turning 25/30 I just think… must be nice to have no sense of mortality or understanding that every single day is a gift.
Being embarrassed about your age makes no sense to me. How you gonna let somebody shame you for being alive longer?

Something people fail to point out. If we had evicted that wanker David Cameron after 2 years we wouldn't be in this mess.

in the UK you’ll notice this obsession with proximity to success. Anyone with a bit of clout is somehow “their mate”, but when it comes to actually championing people, the energy gets very strange

Financial curiosity is “bad vibes” because what exactly? Asking how people make their money should not get ppl shaking, it's literally a data point. Instead its endless debates about whether £50k is a “high salary” while treating any practical discussion on money like a moral failing.

Women get so dramatic about everything loool the girl is a public figure who openly posts what she does, what’s so strange and bad vibes about wondering how she does it?
