Crypto marketing has a trust problem it created itself. Botted KOL campaigns. Impressions sold. Launches forgotten by Friday. Each one taxes the credibility of the next honest project. We started Mugi Labs to do the work properly.

The fastest way to waste a KOL budget in Asia is to translate your English thread and call it localization. China, Korea, and SEA do not just speak differently. They gather on different platforms and trust different voices. You do not translate a narrative.

Protocols that win launch week started building three months before it. The narrative, the KOL relationships, the regional media - none of it works if you fire it the same week as the countdown. You can't buy momentum the week you need it.

A KOL who understands the narrative, the target holder, and the specific call to action will outperform a bigger name given a one-line instruction every time.

SEA is not one market. Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand each have different dominant platforms, different community structures, and different levels of crypto adoption. A regional strategy that doesn't segment by country isn't a strategy.

Chinese crypto audiences don't find projects on X. They confirm them there. Discovery happens in private Telegram channels and WeChat clusters days before anything goes public. By the time a project is trending, the community decision was already made in a group chat.

Most projects over-invest in the announcement and under-invest in the 72 hours after it. The announcement opens a window. The amplification, community response, and follow-on coverage that happen inside that window determine whether it compounds or collapses.
