For those who have been wondering what is a FOIA request that we used to get some information from @_shakenya about their Algorithm/ AI system's parameters/ indicators.
Access to information is not just a governance principle; it is a constitutional right protected by Article 35 of the Constitution of Kenya.
It guarantees every citizen the right to access information held by the State and information required to protect rights and fundamental freedoms.
An informed public is better able to participate meaningfully, ask the right questions, understand and protect their rights, and hold institutions accountable.
