Web3 gaming never left. It just went through a brutal phase. Talks of a comeback are the result of people noticing the survivors after the extractors stopped pretending.
We saw teams pivot and try different approaches that still failed. We also saw teams come in with an exit plan and pulled out as much as they could, then vanished.
What remains are the ones who had a reason to stay. Ronin is still here with real activity.
A few of the teams that stuck around did not stop shipping:
- Sky Mavis is deep into Atia's Legacy & Terrariums
- OCH team is building Yieldfields
- Cambria been cooking from the start
- Pixels remains an undisputed survivor and still delivers content consistently
- Moku keeps shipping products, with Pupkins as their latest
- Axie Classic CORC transition in progress
Actual builders are just starting to get noticed again.
AI is lowering the cost and time for good teams to finish what they started, so we should see more speed and delivery.
There are also more games that have been in development for the last few years that most people still havenât heard about
But beware, the same tools make it easier for previous bad actors to resurface. Some will rebrand and change their pitch but the end result is likely the same.
New teams entering Web3 gaming should study the ones that survived the longest.

Sky Mavis eyes, 3 nightmare parts. So he'll be getting a 600 boost to his Atia's flame, the stat that determines his strength in axie's land experience, terrariums, for farming bAXS. Plus i'll add to the boost by equipping nightmare accessories.
Today, the Axie universe is worth 285 million dollars, the AXS token debuted at a 24 million FDV in 2021. So it's up about 600% since launch.
$AXS is the best performing major gaming token this year and of the last 365 days, making the rewards juicier.
A big reason for this is because AXS inflation has experienced a double pronged reduction in inflation.

If I ever had to pick one NFT as my PFP, it would be this one.

Kotaro Kollection is massively undervalued on Ronin!
- While Moki Genesis is trading at ~900â950 RON and Ronkeverse is sitting around 540 RON, Kotaro Kollection is still floorâd at 39â56 RON (~$2â3.5).
Thatâs not a small gap. Thatâs a different league. And it doesnât make sense.
- Kotaro isnât some random community PFP.
Itâs the official Axie Infinity / Ronin mascot character. Sky Mavisâlinked art, clean design, and the face a lot of people already associate with the chain.
Official IP usually commands a premium. Right now itâs the cheapest of the three.
- Moki Genesis has real utility (Moki Gang status, points multipliers, early access, etc.) and a solid ecosystem behind it. Floor near 1,000 RON is understandable.
Ronkeverse is pure community meme energy with burns, quests, and strong holders. 500+ RON makes sense for that narrative.
Kotaro has the strongest âofficialâ branding of the three and is still under 60 RON.
- Look at the listings right now:
Kotaro: 39â56 RON
Ronkeverse: 540 RON
Moki: 900â950 RON
Youâre paying 10â20x more for the other collections while Kotaro is the one most people on Ronin already know by name.
- This feels like classic early-stage mispricing.
Either the market hasnât caught up to Kotaro yet, or people are overpaying for the more hyped collections. Either way, the current price difference is hard to justify long-term.
