A statement on yesterday…..
Everything I said in that interview was true. However, rest assured I’m doing my best to turn things round.
I have been in a mental health clinic for the last 10 weeks, finally discharging so I could attempt to play in Belfast
I owed that to my family, in particular my daughter to see me play for what could be the last time….. I also owed it to the fans who have supported me throughout my 21 years on tour
I also owed that to World Snooker who have been amazing from day on in all this, in particular Simon Brownell and Neil Tomkins who have remained in touch regularly, even Simon paying me a visit in the clinic itself
I’m not ok, but I’m ok in that itself. I’ve been much worse in the last few months than you saw yesterday. I literally didn’t see a future in anything…..
My daughter kept me going, the therapists, staff and all the other patients were amazing and helped me through some really dark days
I see the light now that I couldn’t see before but I do now. I also know it won’t happen overnight. I’m a work in progress!!! My fight and determination on the table has always been there for ones to see. I need to show those same fighting qualities off it now for a while
Please don’t detract anything from Jordan yesterday, he’s been aware of my struggles and that can’t have been easy to play in but he handled it with grace and skill as I knew he would. Im proud to call him a friend
I hope the rest of the event is a success and I will continue my treatments going forward and then see what’s ahead
Thank you to every single message I have received on here, instagram, Facebook, text messages and WhatsApp’s, I’ve seen them all but a bit overwhelmed to reply right now. Just know that they have helped me a lot but I’m not going anywhere just yet!!!! I have so much to live for and this is only the beginning of my new journey
Also, I was not made to do any interviews, I was simply given a choice and felt I owed it to everyone to speak. The media team at WST have been incredible through all this too
Thank you all x
Looks like @Revolut is down in a lot of places. Same thing has happened to me. Anyone else?

What a day! @tommylarkinsgaa bridge a gap of FIFTY FIVE YEARS in making the County Senior Hurling Final. I would even argue that it was the game of the @Galway_GAA Senior Hurling Championship so far. Hard luck to @ClarinbridgeGaa. It was one hell of a performance from ye also.

#AmmiBurke so the case continues to 2027
Ammi Burke’s case against Arthur Cox is still ongoing in the Labour Court.
She was dismissed by the firm in November 2019 (while a junior associate/solicitor in the banking practice group). She received an ex gratia payment of €70,000 (one year’s salary) plus notice pay. She has challenged the dismissal multiple times:
• Her unfair dismissal claim was dismissed by the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) in 2022, largely due to disruptions involving her and her mother.
• She brought judicial review proceedings against the WRC decision. The High Court dismissed the case mid-hearing in 2023 over what the judge called a “blatant abuse of the court process.” The Court of Appeal upheld that decision in 2024, describing her behaviour as “utterly appalling and egregious,” and ordered her to pay the other side’s costs.
She is now appealing the original WRC decision to the Labour Court (her third main challenge). Hearings took place on 12–13 October 2026. Arthur Cox’s side argued that:
• The relationship of trust and confidence was irreparably broken.
• Her conduct (including a “superiority complex,” being condescending, and what they described as a “victim mentality”) justified the summary dismissal.
• Her subsequent litigation and behaviour have caused more damage to her reputation than the dismissal itself, and that reinstatement would be “absurd” or “unthinkable.”
Burke is representing herself and maintains she was dismissed without warning or proper cause. The two days of hearings were not enough to finish the case. Both sides are due back before the Labour Court in early 2027 (January), when more will be heard from her side. She is seeking reinstatement to her former role.
This is a long-running dispute involving a member of the well-known Burke family from Castlebar, Co Mayo. The Labour Court has not yet issued a final decision.
A surreal night in the #LeagueOfIreland. @GalwayUnitedFC beat Shamrock Rovers for the first time since 2006 and St Pat’s can’t capitalise as they lose to Shelbourne and to top it off @bfcdublin are now in the mix. You couldn’t make it up!
Interesting evening in the #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld Shamrock Rovers losing 2-0 to Galway United and St Pats Leading Shelbourne 1-0. Next 45 Mins will be very interesting. #LOI #LeagueOfIreland
