From working with clients, I've developed a five-key approach to help people build self-confidence, and will soon be publishing a book about them.
They are:
Excavation: Unearthing the root causes
Identify the moments that shaped your self-esteem, whether trauma, parental influence, societal conditioning, or past failures. Journaling, guided reflection, or a "self-esteem timeline" can help pinpoint key moments.
Reframing: Challenging internalized narratives
Many people carry outdated, self-limiting beliefs ("I'm not good enough," "I always fail"). So, we look at them, understand why you have them, and challenge them.
Cognitive restructuring techniques, compassionate self-inquiry, and mindfulness can help rewrite these scripts.
Foundation building: Developing core self-worth
Instead of seeking validation externally, the focus shifts to intrinsic self-worth. Daily practices like self-affirmation, boundary-setting, and self-compassion exercises reinforce a stronger self-image.
Empowered action: Strengthening confidence through experience
Confidence comes from action; it cannot be done just by thinking yourself to a destination. Clients engage in "confidence challenges" (small, manageable actions that push them to do things outside of their comfort zones), taking ownership of their growth. Examples include picking up a new hobby, writing an essay about something new you've learned, or doing something in public that you'd generally avoid.
Integration: Making confidence a lifestyle
Long-term change requires consistency. Together, we develop a "maintenance plan" that includes reflection, accountability, and community support to maintain self-esteem.

Polski obozie „patriotyczny”- jesteście zwykłymi kurwami.
Nie chodzi wam o Polskę, nie chodzi wam o te pięć martwych ciał na Rynku ani o rannych, którzy jeszcze krwawią.
Chodzi wam o wasze spasione brzuchy, pełne portfele i o to, żeby na krwi ludzi zrobić kolejny punkt przeciw rządowi.
Sakiewicz już na żywo opowiada, że „nie ma policji”, że chaos, że rezerwy wywiezione do Warszawy -byle tylko wbić kij w mrowisko, zanim jeszcze ostygną ciała. Brzydzę się wami.

Podsumowanie: Strzały w centrum Krakowa, są zabici i ranni. W zdarzeniu na Rynku Głównym śmierć poniosło pięć osób, a kilkanaście zostało rannych – przekazała małopolska policja. Sprawca zamachu został postrzelony i zatrzymany przez policjantów. Na miejscu zdarzenia trwa akcja służb ratowniczych.
Do strzelaniny doszło tuż po godz. 15.00 w rejonie ul. Sławkowskiej.
Według przekazywanych przez służby informacji, sprawca miał oddawać strzały z przejeżdżającego samochodu.
Jak podaje krakowskie MPK, na Placu Wszystkich Świętych został ostrzelany tramwaj linii nr 1 przez osobę z przejeżdżającego samochodu. Rozbita została szyba w kabinie prowadzącego. Nikt z pasażerów i motorniczy nie odnieśli obrażeń.
Sprawca został postrzelony przez policjantów i zatrzymany w rejonie skrzyżowania ul. Dietla i Stradomskiej.
„Jestem na bieżąco informowany przez ministra spraw wewnętrznych o sytuacji w Krakowie po tragicznej strzelaninie. Policja bada tło i wszystkie okoliczności zamachu” – napisał na platformie X premier Donald Tusk.
Służby apelują o to, by nie zbliżać się do miejsc, w których pracują policjanci i ratownicy. Należy stosować się do poleceń, a w razie zagrożenia dzwonić pod numer 112. #Kraków
