FEC Approves ₦631.3bn for Nine Road Projects Nationwide, Says Works Minister
Major approvals include:
₦209 billion for the 81.1-kilometre Ado–Ilawe–Ilumaba–Ikole Road in Ekiti State
₦167 billion for the 95-kilometre Etuke–Okene–Ankpa–Otopa Road in Kogi State – at Plateau, Nigeria
₦631.3 billion for nine road infrastructure projects across Nigeria. The Minister of Works, David Umahi, disclosed this after Wednesday’s FEC meeting presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
He added that the first 118-kilometre section
of the Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria Road has been completed, while work on the second section is nearing completion.

₦89.2 billion for the Bichi Ring Road in Kano State
The Council also approved projects covering Adamawa and Taraba states, remedial works on the East–West Road, and rehabilitation of the Sokoto–Illela Road.
