Tesla is building its own AI-based maps and navigation for FSD, and they'll work with voice and learn from the whole fleet.
Ashok Elluswamy on the Q3 call: "We shouldn't be depending on external people's maps. So we are building our own maps." He added: "It's going to be integrated with voice. You can like talk to it, ask for different routes. It's going to learn your personalized preferences, plus also the fleet preferences. The collective intelligence of all the cars are going to flow into making the map."
