One of my favorite franchises, can’t wait til the video game adaptation eventually comes out whenever that is they haven’t said much about it
Rewatched all the John Wick movies this past week and had such a great time, my favorite action movies ever!
Here’s my ranking of the movies:
1 - John Wick 4: 10/10 - Easily my favorite, it has the most insane final hour non-stop action in the entire Paris section, especially the Hotline Miami part and the intersection fight. Just incredible action and the story here has so much depth thanks to the inclusion of Caine and John Wick’s arc against the High Table coming to a close. I adore this movie. The Berlin club sequence, everything in Osaka, and the way it all comes together is perfect. It’s crazy how this franchise managed to only get better and better and peaked at its end.
2 - John Wick 2: 9.5/10 - Easily has my favorite ending of the series. The pencil fight, the concert sequence, and everything with Santino is fantastic as the series’ best villain. It’s the most important movie to the overall story as 3 and 4 wouldn’t exist without all the work it does setting that up. It’s also insanely well paced and only really has an issue with the final fight against Ares being a letdown.
3 - John Wick 1: 9/10 - Where it all started. Just a timeless movie. Fantastic action, a plot that’s so excellent due to its simplicity and it is filled with hints of a much larger world. The nightclub sequence is iconic for good reason and the way this movie introduces the myth of John Wick really makes the entire franchise click. It does get a bit dull at points because you can tell the budget for the final few fights was low, it doesn’t reach the high of the night club fight again but its still a fantastic movie and just a classic.
4 - John Wick 3: 8/10 - This movie has some of the coolest fights in the franchise such as the knife fight and the horse chase, but it’s overall the weakest in terms of story. John going to Morocco to meet The Elder taking up a huge portion of the movie only for it to end up being entirely useless for the plot really lets the whole movie down. Halle Berry is cool but she also ends up inconsequential to the overall plot. It’s definitely the least story-heavy movie and it suffers for it. Still extremely entertaining but my least favorite of the four.
Fact, I forget they weren’t around for GTA 3, SA, or VC…and forget GTA 4 online that used to crash all the time even way after release 😂 same with GTA 5 when it first released. These people who think online automatically comes with it make me laugh
That someone is me, last night I probably would’ve had my AC on if I didn’t take it out of the window last week, it shouldn’t be in the 70s in November 😅
