Ever wondered what sampling methods are best to catch saproxylic (and other wood-inhabiting) beetles? Check out this paper just published. Senior author was the wonderful Aoife Crowe. The paper is behind a paywall. If you would like a copy DM me.

Shifting Baseline Syndrom.

This is the Eight Circled Cross page from the Book of Kells. The level of detail is absolutely insane; I made a replica of this a couple of years ago, and even scaling it up to twice the size, there were still sections I had to simplify because the detail was just too fine.
