It’s not the tracked results of call outs. That part is fine/positive. But getting paid what most would consider exorbitant amounts for making calls that lose the majority of people who follow them money, while the platforms wins regardless from volume, is the issue. Perhaps the worst part of having unwavering conviction in a project you genuinely believe in, especially when you're actively working to build it, is watching the same cycle play out over and over again. People sell the one good thing they own because they're terrible traders, compulsive gamblers, or simply incapable of sitting still. It's the only thing in their portfolio that's up, so naturally, it's the first thing they liquidate. They take their small profit, promptly lose it chasing the next shiny object, and often never rotate back. This is what happens when an entire ecosystem becomes dominated by gambling addicts, sustained by the handful of people who actually build, create value, and maintain conviction. Whatever value those people manage to create is continuously siphoned off to finance the next round of gambling. But there's something interesting that happens if you're sufficiently insane to endure this cycle long enough. You slowly rinse through the tourists, the mercenaries, the impatient, and the perpetual round-trippers. Tokens gradually move from weak hands into the hands of people who actually want to own them. Eventually, assuming the project continues to deliver, you reach a point where the constant selling no longer holds you back the way it once did. The people who were going to leave have largely left, and the foundation beneath you is stronger for having endured them. And this is where conviction becomes more than just a feeling. It's something you've demonstrated through weeks or months of watching everyone else chase the next thing while you continued building, accumulating, and supporting what you believed in. The beautiful part is that nothing about your strategy needs to change. You keep holding. You keep adding. You keep building. You keep telling people why you believe. The same things you were doing when nobody cared. The difference is that, eventually, you're no longer fighting against everyone else's impatience. You're standing on what survived it.
