with @RyanCookAMR and many others we have been working on INPHARED to incorporate more QC data and predictions, make it scale with increased data, and some basic visualisation of the data. Files will be linked from here phagebank.uk/inphared2/ in the future

🧬🧫 DH23 phage infects E. coli in early stationary phase, a rare T7‑like trait. With expanding plaques and a burst size of ~600, it’s a strong candidate for phages targeting chronic or nutrient‑limited infections. Full paper: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.…

IDeAL Postdoctoral Fellow Jeremiah Nganda presented his research, "Co-creation for Sustainable Knowledge Translation in Health Systems: A Scoping Review," at the Pwani University International Transdisciplinary Conference and Innovation Expo. The study examines global evidence on how researchers, policymakers, healthcare providers, and communities work together to co-create knowledge that can improve health systems. By mapping existing research, it explores how collaborative approaches can make scientific evidence more relevant, accessible, and more likely to inform policy and practice beyond academic settings. Preliminary findings suggest that as health systems increasingly rely on evidence to address complex health challenges, co-creation plays a critical role in improving the uptake and use of research, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The review provides valuable insights into how stronger partnerships between researchers and decision-makers can help translate evidence into policies and interventions that improve health outcomes. #HealthSystems #KnowledgeTranslation #ImplementationScience #ResearchImpact
