🕯️🌍 Today is the International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism. 86 years ago, the #Kristallnacht pogrom marked a tragic turning point, leading to the deaths of thousands of Jews, Roma people and others labelled as enemies of the German state were tortured and murdered.
We must remember that fascism, antisemitism, and hate are never acceptable. #neverforget

🪶🍂 #Sukkot starts today! 🍋🌿 This #JewishHoliday, arriving five days after #YomKippur, is all about #celebrating the #harvest and God's protective embrace. Let's dive into the vibrant #traditions and #symbolism that make Sukkot truly special. 🌾🕊️
🌾🍇 Interestingly, #Sukkot doesn't commemorate a specific historical event like other Jewish festivals. It's called Chag HaAsif (Festival of Ingathering) and Chag HaSukkot (Festival of Booths).
🕯️🙏 Today marks National #HolocaustRemembranceDay in Romania. We honour the hundreds of thousands of Jews and Roma deported to Transnistria under Ion Antonescu’s orders. Between 280,000 and 380,000 Romanian and Ukrainian Jews perished, alongside many Roma. #NeverForget
Collective Memory, Collective Power: Remembering Resistance against Contemporary Divisions.
History isn’t just what happened—it’s how we hear, know, and are asked to remember it. #RememberResistRise #CollectiveMemory
In our #SOLREM project, we explore the histories of those who resisted before us. What can we still learn from their struggles? Let’s revisit their voices and strengthen our resolve to push back against hate. Stay tuned! #ResistDivision #CollectivePower
🍂🍎🍯 Happy #RoshHashanah! A time of #joy and #introspection as we welcome the #JewishNewYear. The origins of this special holiday trace back to a biblical royal enthronement #ritual, later imbued with Jewish significance.
🙏📚 During #RoshHashanah, the Mahzor prayer book is used. Special prayers like Malkhuyot, Zikhronot, and Shofarot add to the holiday's significance, acknowledging God's sovereignty, remembering past deeds 📜, and anticipating the future with the powerful #shofar 🎶.
🎺 The #shofar #symbolises the #covenant between #God and #Israel, embodying sacrifice, hope, and continuity 🤝🌈. In the Akedah or Binding of Isaac story, its significance shines through.
