Your Excellency @KagutaMuseveni Mheshimiwa Rais @KagutaMuseveni, I'm happy to inform you that, yesterday 26th October 2026, we successfully concluded the 3rd Edition of Twende Zetu Butiama Pilgrimage Safari itinerary by paying tribute and honouring Mzee Dr. Kenneth Kaunda at Embassy Square in Lusaka, Zambia. It's been such an enriching pilgrimage expedition that started on 1st October at the University of Dar es Salaam, Nkrumah Hall @UdsmOfficial where pilgrims were flagged off by the University Vice Chancellor Prof. William Anangisye. We were further flagged off at Makerere University @Makerere Freedom Square by H.E Mheshimiwa Balozi @AbabuNamwamba flanked by State House Anti Corruption Unit @AntiGraft_SH Head Brig. Gen. Challenges faced not withstanding, I'm happy to report that by the Grace of God, we've managed to achieve our set out objectives under the Theme: Espousing the Enduring Legacy and Values of our @Jumuiya Founding Fathers: a Call for Enhanced Efforts Towards a Politically Federated EAC📌 We've visited: 1. One Uganda - One Nation One Zambia - One Nation One Africa - One United Continent My brief remarks at Mzee Kaunda's Grave, "Tubidhaishe Kiswahili - Tukieneze Kiswahili - Tukienzi Kiswahili. Beyond a medium of linguistic expression, Kiswahili is a symbol of unity, progress, and Pan-Africanism. Kiswahili, in its neutrality, offers Africa a means of rejecting colonial legacies that have bound the continent to foreign tongues. It is inclusive, bridging ethnic divides and offering a common ground for all Africans, regardless of their native languages. Welcome to Uganda - The Pearl of Africa." I also reminded the gathering of your statement that, "Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere is the Greatest Black Man that has ever lived." - @KagutaMuseveni “His monumental achievements for Tanzania and the people of southern Africa, and indeed beyond, cast into insignificance whatever errors Mwalimu might have committed as a human being.”– Kenneth Kaunda. TRACING & TREKKING THE FOOTSTEPS OF OUR AFRICAN LIBERATION HEROES & EAC/OAU FOUNDING FATHERS!! TODAY'S FOCUS 👉 THE MULUNGUSHI CLUB📌 The Mulungushi Club was an alliance of three East and Central African Founding Presidents established in 1969: • Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere – President of Tanzania 🇹🇿 • Mzee Kenneth Kaunda – President of Zambia 🇿🇲 • Dr. Apolo Milton Obote – President of Uganda 🇺🇬 Purpose and History✍️ • Formation: Created in 1969 at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority in Kabwe, Zambia, during a Ruling Party Conference. • Goals: Promoted Pan-Africanism, African socialism, and coordinated support for armed liberation movements fighting colonialism and white-minority rule in Southern Africa. • Platform: The leaders used international bodies like the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the Commonwealth, and the Non-Aligned Movement to advance their collective agenda. The Mulungushi Club was a Strategic Alignment and Think-Tank of like-minded African leaders to promote Pan-Africanism, fight colonialism and apartheid in Southern Africa, and foster regional cooperation📌 The Mulungushi Rock of Authority is a historic isolated Rock Hill (Kopje) located in Central Province, Zambia, near the border of Kabwe and Kapiri Mposhi District. Often called the "Birthplace of Zambian Independence," it holds deep national significance as a venue for major political rallies, conventions, and state policy announcements. Key Historical Milestones • 1958 & 1960: Hosted early nationalist gatherings, including rallies for the Zambian African National Congress (ZANC) and the founding conference of the United National Independence Party (UNIP) led by Mzee Kenneth Kaunda. • 1964 Onward: Became the regular site for annual political party conventions and major governance assemblies following Zambia's independence. • 1968 & 1975: Served as the backdrop for major economic and policy reforms, notably the 1968 Mulungushi Declaration where President Kenneth Kaunda announced the nationalization of key foreign-owned companies. Modern Use: Situated on the grounds of Mulungushi University, the site has hosted the university's annual graduation ceremonies since 2009 alongside continuing political and Labour Union assemblies. Yes - Our Forefathers - All gave some, some gave all. We may know them all, but we owe them all. Remembering them is noble📌 Honour Yesterday, Inspire Today, Build Tomorrow✍️ Today, 23rd October 2026 the Hon. @AkenaJimmyMP and I in company of Comrades; King Vuni, King Sein, Uncle Ken Senior, Uncle G & Ken GP arrived in the capital Lusaka ahead of Zambia's Independence Anniversary tomorrow 24th October 2026. On our way from Kapiri Mposhi, we visited the Mulungushi Rock of Authority/ Mwamba wa Mamlaka wa Mulungushi. PRESS RELEASE CLARIFICATION: WITHDRAW OF RECOGNITION OF THE BACHELOR OF PHARMACY (BPHARM) PROGRAM AT MBARARA UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (MUST) 1. We make reference to a Public Notice from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, claiming withdrawal of the recognition of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Program at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. 2. The National Council for Higher Education is mandated under Section 4d (ii) of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act Cap. 262, to ‘receive, consider and process applications for accreditation of academic and professional programmes of higher education institutions, in consultation with professional associations and regulatory bodies.’ 3. The National Council for Higher Education is further mandated under Section 4(f) of the Act to “receive and investigate complaints relating to institutions of higher education and take appropriate action.” 4. The mandate of recognition of academic qualifications rests with the National Council for Higher Education, as mandated under Section 4(i) of the Act. Given the above statutory provisions, National Council for Higher Education would like to clarify as follows: 1. The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology was first accredited by the National Council for Higher Education in 2010. Since then, the programme has received multiple re-accreditations. The most recent re-accreditation was granted on 30th January 2025, for the programme to run up to 2036. All the re-accreditations have been granted in consultation with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, as required under Section 4d (ii) of the Act. 2. The National Council for Higher Education was neither involved nor consulted in the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda’s unilateral decision to withdraw its recognition of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. 3. Withdrawalof recognition of qualifications of graduates of a given programme or academic institution is the preserve of the National Council for Higher Education. 4. Mbarara University had an Associate Professor of Pharmacy heading the Department of Pharmacy until July 2026 when he resigned to join another academic institution on promotion to full Professor. The University temporarily engaged a Senior Lecturer, with a nursing background but holding a PhD in Pharmacology from Ghent University in Belgium, to head the Department. The current Acting Head of Department of the Pharmacy Department is a Pharmacist who also serves as the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda. 5. National Council for Higher Education categorically states that: a) The Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology is fully accredited. b) The accreditation has not been withdrawn by the National Council for Higher Education. c) The teaching and learning of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme at Mbarara University of Science and Technology should continue. 6. The National Council for Higher Education remains open to receiving and investigating complaints related to higher education institutions in Uganda. unche.or.ug/clarification-wi…

Africa must not be remembered as a continent that left integration as a dream, but as a generation that dared to turn that dream into reality. 🌍✊🏾 Let history record that we chose unity over division, cooperation over isolation, and action over empty promises.
