Cameroon’s President Paul Biya, the world’s oldest serving head of state, is reportedly making a rare two-week visit home after spending extended periods abroad, particularly in Switzerland.
Biya has ruled since 1982, with his prolonged absences raising questions about who is actually governing the country.
His reported return comes amid coup rumours and military reshuffling, sparking fresh questions about the future of his 44-year rule.
He will be in Cameroon for a fortnight before returning to Switzerland.
