Agreed, in 2025 it wasn’t the KTM that kept him from the title, it was his crashing. Which maybe he blames the bike for but he crashed plenty on Honda too.

That will be interesting to see, Kawi is getting a new bike for 27. His first SX season on KTM wasn’t up to his standards but then his second season was great. I feel that would have been the case if he stuck with Kawi but we’ll see

Heard that for KTM, I think the Honda split was pretty cordial. No room at Honda, and if KTM opened a spot, his Monster sponsorship would be an issue. That seems like another layer to all the contractual changes.

Interesting to see where Sexton ends up! Looking at his 2026 avg holeshot position to his avg finish, it doesn't seem too bad on the surface. He went from 11.17 to 5.79 (on avg). 5.79 avg is worse than his best years. But it would appear his main issue in SX was just starts.

Gotta love rivalry games, Texas has no one to blame but themselves. OU really took the momentum over in the 3rd quarter. This could very well be whats ruins Texas’ playoff hopes this year so that’s an added bonus haha
