It was a very fun event I’m glad everyone was able to find amusement from watching me get grabbed 😭
And thank you to everyone who donated to fund the crew battle! Hopefully we can run more events like these to lead up to the big offline event
2xko community is the STRONGEST
This is hard to do. Collegiate programs don't necessarily need to generate a profit. Money is coming from enrollment, which means they don't need to rely on brands to support operations.
There is also no real market for collegiate players. Who spectates this outside of the players in these programs? We are an esports business surrounded by collegiate esports programs in North Carolina. They have a hard time justifying showing up to locals for example because they have everything they need in their own bubble most of the time.
In addition to that, there is no real infrastructure. We as a business could be a good middle ground for Duke and Greensboro to compete against each other. But, who would we draw to watch it at our venue? Who would actually show up to see two colleges compete like NCAA basketball?
Esports is hard.
Sad to see this happen. EG has had such a positive impact on the FGC alone. This combined with Complexity closing up always hits hard

Still got 2nd at least, it’s bittersweet I feel proud to at least get to this point, but it really sucks that I wasn’t able to even put up a game in the runback
ggs to Tate, very well deserved
Also shoutouts to @SurgingStormGG also repping the colors of Bad Machines! This is the first time we have two players in two different tournaments today. That's pretty awesome!
We are running Tekken 8 at Bad Machines in Cary on Thursday October 1st at 7PM. We are testing out a new bracket + crowdfunding platform called BluMint.

This is 100% true. There are too many people who are new to this scene or new to gaming overall who fail to understand that all this chatter is extremely common on so many NEW games. MMORPG's for a prime example are notorious for this type of hate, complaints, etc.
