Iran: Supreme Court Upholds Death Sentence for Political Prisoner Manouchehr Fallah on the charge of membership in PMOI • Urgent Call for Action to Save Manouchehr Fallah and Other Political Prisoners on Death Row As previously stated in statements by the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in August 2024, February 2025 and May 2026, Manouchehr Fallah, born in 1984, was arrested in June 2023 at Rasht Airport and incarcerated in Rasht’s Lakan Prison. In February 2025, he was sentenced to death by the notorious Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court in Rasht, presided over by Mohammad Ali Darvish Goftar. Subsequently, the regime's Supreme Court referred the case to a parallel branch for re-examination, presided over by Ahmad Darvish Goftar (father of Mohammad Ali Darvish Goftar). In May 2026, this branch again sentenced him to death, and the verdict has now been upheld by the Supreme Court. Consequently, Manouchehr Fallah is at imminent risk of execution. Brutal executions and the issuance of criminal death sentences and long-term imprisonment, particularly against political prisoners and valiant rebellious youths, represent the desperate efforts of the religious fascism to counter the raging anger of the people and prevent a popular uprising. The Iranian Resistance urges immediate and effective action by the United Nations and relevant international bodies to save the lives of Manouchehr Fallah and other prisoners condemned to death. It once again calls for an international fact-finding mission to visit Iran's prisons and meet with prisoners, especially political prisoners on death row. #StopExecutionsInIran

Urgent: Arrest of Ali Alipour, Father of PMOI Member Babak Alipour, Executed by the Iranian Regime On 20 October 2026, Iranian regime security forces arrested Mr. Ali Alipour, father of executed PMOI member Babak Alipour, at his home in Rasht and transferred him to the Shohada-e Gomnam detention center. They also confiscated electronic devices and mobile phones belonging to the family. His son, Rouzbeh Alipour, has been detained since February 2026 and is currently held in Qezel Hesar Prison. Babak Alipour and fellow PMOI member Pouya Ghobadi were executed on 31 March 2026. Authorities denied the family a final visit, withheld Babak’s body, and have yet to disclose his burial place. The Iranian Resistance once again calls on the United Nations and relevant international human rights bodies to take immediate and effective action to secure the release of Mr. Ali Alipour, Rouzbeh Alipour, and other arrested family members of PMOI activists.

From a Strategic Paradigm Shift to a Vanguard Movement The Journey of Women’s Leadership in the Iranian Resistance The period between October 18 and October 22 marks a pivotal milestone in the history of the Iranian Resistance movement, representing a strategic, cultural, and political transformation in the struggle against religious fundamentalism. On October 18, 1989, Maryam Rajavi assumed the leadership of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as its Secretary-General. Four years later, on August 28, 1993, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) elected her as the President-elect for the transitional period of transferring sovereignty to the Iranian people, a decision officially made public on October 22, 1993. This sequence of events initiated an unprecedented historical trajectory that shattered the traditional barriers of gender discrimination and positioned women at the forefront of the revolutionary movement against the misogynistic clerical regime in Tehran. wncri.org/2026/10/19/womens-…

Message to the Conference at the City Hall of Cuneo, Italy If the clerical regime in Iran had any stability, it would not resort to executions. It is time for Italy and the entire world to recognize the Iranian people's struggle to overthrow the regime, as well as the fight of our rebellious youth against the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). maryam-rajavi.com/en/confere…

Message to the Conference at the City Hall of Cuneo, Italy The mullahs have committed countless crimes to stay in power; from the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988 to the repeated slaughter of protesters during recent uprisings. These very crimes are certain proof that this regime will be overthrown. This is especially true because, despite all this repression, an organized resistance continues to advance inside the cities of Iran. #StopExecutionsInIran maryam-rajavi.com/en/confere…

Acquiring a nuclear bomb is essential to this regime’s survival; so long as it remains in power, it will never abandon this ambition—with or without negotiations. However, if diplomacy merely continues a policy of concession, it will only embolden the regime’s nuclear pursuits. Now is the time to stand with the Iranian people, who demand the overthrow of this regime, rather than engaging in futile attempts to preserve it. In any event, the immediate cessation of executions and the killing of Iranian protesters must be a non-negotiable prerequisite in all diplomatic talks, trade relations, and international agreements. #StopExecutionsInIran

The confirmation of the death sentence against #ManouchehrFallah on charges of membership in the PMOI, and the arrest of the father of martyred PMOI member Babak Alipour, amid a continuing wave of executions and arrests, reveal the regime’s fear of young people embracing the PMOI and the growing resistance and protests. The lives of Manouchehr Fallah and other prisoners sentenced to death are in imminent danger. The international community must act immediately to stop these executions. ncr-iran.org/en/ncri-stateme… ncr-iran.org/en/ncri-stateme…
