Walking 2,231 miles to play poker vs $5k for charity prop bet?! I’m in the worst physical shape of my life & it’s impacting my play (had to skip all of @wsop this year). Time to do something about it and highlight some worthy causes at the same time. I’m seeking one or more high rollers or brands interested in negotiating a fitness prop bet for a 2027 Main buyin at 2:1 for charity. Those who know me here know it’s not a $ grift (I can easily afford $10k) but am seeking public accountability/motivation to get my health back, draw attention to the game we love, WHILE highlighting a worthy charities for an entire year alongside those with a large social media presence. Your side’s $10k covers a 2027 @wsop main event buy-in if I win the prop vs. I donate $5k to the charity of our predetermined choice if I lose. Both sides held in attorney controlled escrow. Even if I win the prop, a 25% sweat of my main event action still goes the charity we agree on, and you personally keep 25% sweat (if an individual). I’m proposing a 365 day DAILY documented challenge of my walking 2,231 miles (distance from my house to the Horseshoe) within the next year. Terms to be negotiated privately but posted publicly once agreed to and booked. Tagging multiples for visibility. If not interested yourself but know a player or brand who might be, PLEASE repost and tag them. If brand backed we can discuss additional elements specific to the brand. If multiple interested we can also discuss building a more robust 2027 series schedule under same terms with multiple charities. @bbshark888 @RealKidPoker @bp22 @MattStoutPoker @shannonelizfdn @VegasHayls @JoshuaArieh @WPN_CEO @DougPolkVids @pokerheadrush @Joeingram1 @rampagepoker @CelsiusOfficial @daraokearney @PokerGives @abarone68 @rayzorfold @junglemandan @kwansfull @shaundeeb @RealJamieGold @AllOrNubbin

Only 1 person working the counter. Been in line for 45 mins & counting. Still 1 hour drive to hotel & meeting in 6 hrs. Customer service is dead.

WTF is with car rental companies taking PREPAID RESERVATIONS and then when you land they “don’t have any cars”. Yes I’m looking at you @Avis . Not to mention I’m “Presidents Club” and rent 2 or 3 weeks every month. Counter “bro” had audacity to say “Come back in the morning, we might have cars then.” I just flew in, it’s almost 1am, my hotel is an hour away, and I have an 8am meeting tomorrow. I’m Fing livid.

Update. 31 hours later. Still no rental car and they offered me $50 toward an uber…. I’m here for 4.5 DAYS! and hotel is an hour away from the airport, and where I’m working is rural and another 20mins from hotel, so no, Uber is not going to solve the issue and just the one way from airport to hotel was more than $50. Instead of making it right, @Avis is making it worse.

Granted I will never be a candidate for consideration, or anywhere near the caliber of player of the current class, but the #pokerHOF eligible people lobbying on their socials begging for nominations/votes really turns me off. It doesn’t seem like a true “hall of famer” would need to.

The rake/reg fees do matter. All this video proves is that this small sample of recreational players don’t factor it in like they should. Higher reg fees equals more money coming out of the poker ecosystem and less money being redistributed to all, including people who maybe only get two-thirds of their money back longterm. That will eventually be felt in the pocket and put off players because they realise their poker pastime is too expensive compared to their golf pastime or their bowling pastime or their going to the movies or whatever. More rake is NEVER better. I’ll die on that hill.
I’ll die on this hill. The rake doesn’t matter! #WSOP

Probably time someone just said it clearly and didn’t pussyfoot around because @jeffplatt is a nice guy…..the rake has never been higher…. The quality of the dealers has never been worse…. Parking is an abomination …. The structures have never been worse.

Time for a much-needed @WSOPOnlinePoker rant. 🧵 We are 3 bracelet events in and the ending times on the East Coast (where most of the pool is NJ, PA, MI) are atrocious: Event #1: 7:04 AM ET Event #2: 6:35 AM ET Event #3: 6:45 AM ET @jeffplatt @Kevmath @RealKidPoker @tjreidpoker

Please tell me I’m not way off base here @SavagePoker My original reply post with tags removed per your stips: I’m speaking holistically from the perspective of “average rec player” (we need in order to grow/stabilize the fields) not me personally. I’m arguing you should have ZERO empty tables which is actually much MORE efficient than dealers sitting around waiting on a guesstimated anticipated number of late regs. If that means late regs have to wait for a seat, so be it. Start showing up earlier. Doing anything which creates a negative experience for the subset of players operators claim they want (register early & show up on time) in order to accommodate/benefit the other subset operators claim to want to reduce (max late reg) dually incentivizes and penalizes the exact inverse behaviors you claim to want. Reducing rebuy window and forcing late regs to wait would (in time) shift their behavior to earlier entries, AND have the additional benefit of helping TDs to more accurately plan number of tables and dealers needed WHILE reducing the frustrations (most) players feel getting moved multiple times early in a tournament (table consolidation during field reduction is expected and not this topic). I would expect if you ran a poll, player’s being force moved from their established table early in a tournament to form new table/put a late reg “in their place” is much more unpopular and disliked than [the person I was replying to] seems to realize.

“The @Ferrari Luce looks great” is the new “Dogs are overrated pets” post. When the engagement farming account community has figured out they can get an easy click/comment rate bait boost just by fake complimenting your new market flop… you’re cooked.
