I'm feeling a bit lonely in my office today.
But after spending the weekend with such a lovely, vibrant bunch of superstars, it's no wonder my office is feeling a bit beige 🌈 #LetsDoItAllAgain
Two different conversations with my disabled friends today. The systems need to change because nobody should be making their health worse just to get a degree. I am so much more supported in my workplace regarding my disabilities compared to my 7years in HE at multiple institutes
Do we need to change the way we view evidence? Is this one of the barriers to the mainstreaming of NFM? #FloodandCoast2023
So the main thing I have taken away from #FloodandCoast2023 is that people think there is not enough evidence around #NFM or #NBS however there is a whole truckload of evidence it just isn't the evidence they want i.e. not definitive numbers.
Having a great time at #FloodandCoast2023 @floodandcoast learning about NBS. However, where's the free coffee! Conferences run on caffeine 😅
Just in case you needed to know this, there is a big difference between being sick and having a disability or long term health condition.
Had a great time in Dorking looking at some amazing leaky dams in an EA/PhD project. These LWD actually function as intended and are designed for the topography and with intent. Bonus for 2 ox bow lakes and a dog!
So I got a permit application at work today where they used bits of my PhD research from an RRC talk I gave 2 years ago 😅
This is the wonderful Chris who has looked after me so well whilst at @EurostarUK
As always the staff at Stevenage train station were fabulous with the assistance even checking the lift was working at my destination! @TLRailUK
I think you can do better @ZARA I can't try anything on because the accessible changing room is being used as storage
I'm not sure the PIP assessment service understands disabled people have lives. Second assessment that has now been cancelled 20mins AFTER it should have started.
Reported it to another senior male and told "just take them with a pinch of salt"
