Ontario’s firefighters thank Premier @fordnation for his steadfast support of the @runnymedehc's First Responders Post Traumatic Stress Injury Rehabilitation Centre. Firefighters experience mental health challenges more frequently than the general public due to their frequent exposure to traumatic events in the course of their duties serving the public. This generous investment means construction can begin on this one-of-a-kind center, which will provide essential support to firefighters in need. buff.ly/4hw0jho

This year has been pivotal for #firefighter legislation in Ontario. The OPFFA would like to thank Premier @fordnation and his government for the legislative amendments announced today addressing: ✔️#KidneyCancer - reducing the required duration of employment from 20 to 10 years. ✔️#ColorectalCancer - eliminating the 61-year age limit on presumptive eligibility for #colorectalcancer. These are significant milestones that ensure all #firefighters who develop these occupational #cancers while safeguarding Ontarians will have better access to the support and coverage they need. ontariofirefighters.org/inde… @DavidPiccini @IAFFCanada #ONpoli
