As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, a training session on “IT & Cyber Security” was conducted on 22 October 2026 at 10:00 AM by Ms. Sreelatha S, Scientist-C, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Kochi.
The session covered key aspects of digital safety and cybersecurity, including data safety in digital media, the CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability), AI-based threats and preventive measures, phishing and smishing attacks, vishing (voice phishing), reporting cyber frauds, social media security and privacy, online gaming safety, and UPI-related frauds.
The session aimed to enhance awareness among employees about emerging cyber threats and promote safe and responsible digital practices.
Officials from MPEDA Headquarters and field offices participated in the programme.
