Thinking about retiring from being a SHSU football fan and becoming a neutral observer. Sam just doesn’t have the resources to win consistently at the FBS level. I’ll never quite see a run like I witnessed from 2011-2021 with Sam Houston football. An absolute dynasty.

Sam Houston is a National Championship winning program. Second only to NDSU in FCS playoff wins during the 2010s. The winningest non-P4 team in Texas over the last 20 years. Shoutout to AD Williams and our donors for protecting that legacy and tradition. #EatEmUpKats

Breaking: Sam Houston has fired head coach Phil Longo, who was 3-17 in the job. Bearkats are 1-7 and lost to Missouri State 24-3 last night. Associate HC Eric Raisbeck and DC Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay will serve as interim co-head coaches.

So instead of taking full accountability for this teams inability to win, he instead starts throwing shots at our QB? This is not how a D1 coach should carry himself.
