Hard to overstate how much in 1973 this album (with its now slightly late anniversary re-release) meant at the time - in its outright groundbreaking vibe & aesthetic - and how much it influenced that came after. Remains for me a signature point in music

Is it safe to think the lack of creating these measurable “big chances” on a consistent basis & improved attacking patterns of play on an identifiable basis can be cured through just coaching with the players we have? Or are these not the profiles Iraola would Ideally choose ?

Good first half, poor second & subs made us worse, shape seemed off, didn’t unlock them much. Work to do final third decision making and patterns. Top players ultimately not difference makers often enough where it mattered. Wirtz is a worry as think we still not getting his best

Turned unfortunately into exactly the kind of game arsenal want and thrive in with a lead away from home. Long way from pretty, but works for them.

A top quality left back is becoming an absolute necessity now. With the quality we have now available from the wide players it’s hurting us enormously in attacking opponents right sides

What on earth is Gabriel doing there ? He wasn’t touched in the face at all.

Tactically thoughts on starting Nyoni ?

Hendo has made some odd career choices hasn’t he. So odd now seeing him in Chelsea blue.

Have the wingers switch for a bit?

That’s Barcola’s super power generally, on the transition/counter, not dribbling one on one as @DistanceCovered pointed out in his great piece. But the finish …

So noticeable about PSG is there isn’t an obvious weakness at any outfield position, and they all put the work in.

Never wanted to see a French team (or any team really) wallop an English team so badly as tonight. Good start.

Someone posted an excellent summary of the likely legal MCFC timeline from PL appeal to potentially high court. Searched but cant find it . Anyone else see it?

Football feels depressing and kind of futile tonight after all that, and now especially knowing the legal process both within the PL framework and probably subsequently the UK court/legal system will likely drag on all season. Really, what exactly is it we will be watching?

Want do the bananas mean?

The depth of hated, antipathy, abuse, distrust and outright hostility that city fans show to the premier league, a competition they just spent a decade and a half thoroughly dominating, taking in millions in prize money & reaping untold brand benefits from, is truly astounding
