One thing that repeatedly surfaced throughout the congressional CLARITY Act discussions was decentralisation.
That is important because decentralisation sits at the core of how a blockchain is classified, governed, secured, and ultimately trusted over the long term. The more distributed the infrastructure, governance, validation, and decision making become, the harder it is for control to concentrate around a small group of founders, companies, or insiders.
Cardano stands out strongly in this area. From stake pool distribution and community operated infrastructure through to on chain governance and treasury oversight, Cardano has been architected around decentralisation from the beginning and as a result operates globally.
