What “poor Russian conscripts” is he talking about? The Russian soldiers fighting against Ukraine serve under official contracts and are paid for it. Their salaries are funded in part by the extra money Putin is receiving as a result of Trump’s recent decisions to waive some of the sanctions on Russia. And now, something very important. Russia pretends to be “great,” yet it is a very poor country. Its entire economy is comparable in size to that of the U.S. state of Texas. Millions of Russians live in economically depressed regions. For them, signing a contract with the Russian army is often the only realistic path to social advancement, because it lets them earn the kind of money they could only have dreamed of in their impoverished home regions. The families of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine are perfectly satisfied. They receive sums of money that their husbands or sons could never have earned, even if they had worked for the rest of their lives. That’s why our Russian human rights colleagues call this kind of economy a “necronomy,” meaning a “death economy.” Russia sells death. Literally. Yes, this bloody war must be stopped. And to stop it, we must make the cost of war for Putin higher than the cost of peace. So if Musk truly cares about the lives of Russian soldiers, America must break the Russian necronomy’s ability to fuel this bloody war. But the Trump administration has done exactly the opposite. America has begun to finance it. I am attaching to this post just a few examples of Russian state advertising, showing the amounts in rubles for which “Russian kids” go to kill Ukrainians.

Corrupt autocracies prefer to do business with other corrupt autocracies because the profits are personal on both sides, not for the state or the country. No oversight, no investigations.
The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's. What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

Russia has developed a new low-cost missile called the Filin — and it could pose a serious problem for Ukraine Russia's main goal is to create a cheap, mass-produced cruise missile to wear down Ukraine's air defense system and force it to expend more expensive interceptor missiles. Aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap said this on Ukraine's 24 Kanal. The main danger of the new missile lies in its high speed. The Filin can reach speeds of up to 800 km/h and strike targets at distances of up to 1,200 kilometers. Thanks to its speed, maneuverability, and more powerful warhead, the Filin could pose an even greater threat than jet-powered Shahed drones.

🇩🇰🇺🇦‼️ Denmark has accelerated the delivery of more than 50,000 rounds of 20mm ammunition to Ukraine for the onboard cannons of its F-16 fighter jets, strengthening Kyiv’s ability to intercept Russian aerial threats. Ukrainian pilots are already using the ammunition to shoot down Russian jet-powered drones, providing an additional means of engaging hostile targets without relying exclusively on expensive air-to-air missiles. 🔥 The delivery is particularly valuable as Russia continues deploying large numbers of drones against Ukraine. Using cannon fire against suitable aerial targets can help conserve scarce missile stocks and reduce the cost of individual interceptions. Denmark’s contribution also demonstrates that sustaining Ukraine’s F-16 fleet requires more than aircraft deliveries. A reliable supply of ammunition, spare parts and maintenance support is essential to keeping these fighters operational and effective. See the latest updates with us: @NSTRIKE1231

Putin just now according to TASS: -The territories lost by Kyiv are not "their territory," but historically Russian lands. -It is inappropriate for Kyiv to talk about any territorial losses. The residents of Donbass and Novorossiya voted to reunite with Russia. -Russia has informed the United States that it is ready to resume trilateral negotiations on Ukraine. -It has become clear to everyone that it is impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield. -Russia does not want to fight with Ukraine; it is Kyiv that wants to fight.

No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay. The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.

A large, carefully planned Russian propaganda operation appears to be underway. Having starved people in the town of Oleshky for months, Russia, withe US help, will now "liberate" it. Read @ZarinaZabrisky below:
🔴 Behind me, you can see Oleshky: the town no one wanted to hear about nine months ago. Now, the world knows but the ordeal is not over. The next week ceasefire will be used for a “press tour” to whitewash Russia's war crimes. Don't fall for Russian propaganda.

🔥BREAKING: massive fire has broken out at the Omsky Kauchuk petrochemical plant in Omsk, Russia, following a Ukrainian drone attack, nearly 2,500 km from the front line. The facility is one of Russia’s leading producers of synthetic rubber and industrial chemicals, including phenol, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol. It also manufactures MTBE, a key component used in high-octane gasoline production. The plant produces approximately 500,000 tonnes of petrochemical products annually.

The shifting explanations from Musk and the administration sound like Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” Except the consequences for Ukrainian civilians are deadly. Musk says he didn’t do it. The administration says it didn’t either. Yet someone in the administration reportedly told Musk to undo it, and Ukraine reports only partial restoration. Are we supposed to believe Hegseth and the Pentagon don’t know the status of a capability critical to U.S., Ukrainian and allied security? Whoever is handing Putin the gift of a more vulnerable Ukraine should at least have the guts to put their name on it. Hiding behind denials while innocent people pay the price is cowardice. Meanwhile, Putin keeps murdering civilians and trying to starve and freeze Ukraine into submission. Americans deserve answers. Ukrainians deserve the means to defend themselves.
