ALT Small Craft Advisory in effect for Gulf waters from 1 AM Saturday through Sunday, noting expected winds of 15 to 25 knots with gusts up to 30 knots, and building waves of 4 to 7 feet. Waves can capsize small boats and loose items can be shifted or lost. Monitor VHF Channel 16 and marine forecasts for changing conditions.

ALT An active southern storm track associated with El Niño favors above-average rainfall across the northern Gulf Coast (50–70% probability). More frequent Gulf weather systems may bring multiple rounds of soaking rainfall, including flash flood potential. Periodic strong storm systems may increase opportunities for severe thunderstorms, especially as Gulf moisture interacts with passing cold fronts. Cold snaps and winter weather remain possible, but El Niño provides limited guidance on the likelihood of freezes, snow, or ice locally.
