555 PM Saturday October 24th, 2026: With an upper level ridge to the west of Pennsylvania over the much of the next week or two, a tendency to stay in a rather dry northwest flow of air will aid in keeping central PA rainfall near normal and wet across the southwest states.

🌠Great viewing conditions expected in central PA
The Orionid meteor shower, created by tiny pieces of debris from Halley's Comet, peaks on the night of Oct. 21 - 22. Your best chance to see them comes a few hours before dawn, after the bright Moon sets. Find a dark location, give your eyes time to adjust, and look up.
