Had some family stay with us this weekend, so naturally we took them somewhere where we might see some graffiti. @bolton__castle was the location
Also from @riponcathedral today. I want the year to be 1666! What do you think?
Another great survey session at @riponcathedral this morning. All of the Nave piers now surveyed. Had some visitors asking questions too which was nice. Good to share the historic graffiti love!
I was setting up and plonked myself down on my camping stool (bad back doesn’t like standing all the time) I look up and he first thing I see is possibly the most complex compass drawn / daisy wheel we’ve found so far at Ripon

Given today's news about the discoveries made at the National Trust's Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk, a brief thread about why we were there, and what was found. It isn't every day you recover medieval manuscripts, Tudor books, and C16th clothing from beneath the floor. #Thread
