Bear with the long Wilcox rant.
I'm sorry but what the fuck does Wilcox actually have to show for all this responsibility?
He was involved in keeping Ten Hag in 2024, only for us to sack him months later. Then we hired Amorim despite having a squad ill-suited to his system, Ashworth left after barely five months, and we ended up watching Wilcox and Amorim fall out over tactics, formations and transfers. We finished 15th and lost to Spurs in a European final. AN ENTIRE FUCKING SEASON WASTED, and Wilcox got promoted after Ashworth left you know...
And now look at this summer. £155m on three midfielders was much needed, but no left-back and no proper backup striker is fucking diabolical. We've known about Shaw's injury problems for YEARS. We knew the squad needed defensive reinforcements. Yet we're watching Ayden Heaven, a centre-back, fill in at left-back. HOW DOES NOBODY SEE THIS COMING?
I'm sick of watching United make expensive mistakes, sack managers and expect everyone to start believing again. Wilcox has been involved in the managerial appointments, the recruitment and the decisions that have left this squad so badly balanced.
At what point does Ratcliffe stop defending the bloke and ask him some fucking questions?
