The largest uncaptured lending market on earth has been mispriced for decades. Not because the risk was real because the infrastructure to read it didn't exist.
Wrote about what that looks like on the ground, through one woman in a town that doesn't appear in any fintech pitch deck.

For years, I’ve listened to @AcquiredFM and wondered: what capture’s the essence of emotion of Indian companies?
It’s the word धंधा. 'Business' is too cold. 'Trade' is too small. Dhanda is a life’s work.
It’s the soul of the Indian hustle, built on unique constraints, family legacies, and an audacity that borders on madness.
Today, I’m launching India’s first AI-led long-form podcast to tell those stories from the inside out.
From India, for the world. This is the origin story of our legends.
Here’s the trailer:

I built this as a side for personal use. But, it turned out to be so much more and so much better than I ever hoped, I am releasing it as a product for everyone.
It's called Situation Deck (SitDeck) and it's a free OSINT dashboard with 180+ live data sources. It puts the entire world and almost everything happening in it on one screen.
Here's what it is, why it exists, and why/how I'm giving it away for free.
Announcing SitDeck.com:
A free, real-time, AI-powered OSINT dashboard w/ 180+ data feeds, 55+ widgets, 70+ map layers, alerts & more.
Conflicts. Earthquakes. Flights. Nukes. Cyber threats. Elections.

Just recently, my favourite card company reduced rewards for its consumers. Before them, most of the other banks had reduced rewards too.
Let’s understand that these rewards were being funded by merchants and brands through MDR. Currently, nearly 80% of transactions in India have zero MDR, and hence merchant funding has reduced dramatically.
This will affect consumer discretionary spending (marginally) as well. But, as per popular belief, both merchants and consumers are benefited due to lower end pricing.
The question is: do we want the perceived lower pricing or the extra rewards benefits?

You don't need a storyteller
According to friend of the show @DollyDeighton at WSJ, companies are desperate to hire storytellers.
Hiring “storytellers” is not a new phenomenon (the title began to appear in the early 2000s) but it makes sense that companies feel the need to hire them right now.
Why? Because it’s never been more obvious that the best storytellers in the world create billions of dollars of value for their companies and create massive advantages using only their words. Their words are so powerful that no matter where they appear on the internet they draw millions of views and create a vortex of talent, capital, and customers. The reality distortion field that emerges often results in 100x+ P/E ratios.
Of course every company in the world wants this. The problem is that it’s impossible to “hire” the most elite storytellers because they are founders. Think Elon, Karp, Palmer. I call these types “Joe Rogan CEOs.”
The internet is noisier than ever with thousands of startups competing for mindshare (when every startup has a great launch video, no one does) and yet these storytellers consistently break through and dominate the timeline. Even though generative AI allows marketing teams big and small to massively increase their output, it is often not even 1% as effective as one of these founders going on a podcast or even just posting stream of consciousness on 𝕏.
The white pill for savvy marketing teams is that even as we’re seeing an exponential increase in content production, I’m not sure we’re seeing an exponential increase in great ideas. That means companies large and small (that don’t have the luxury of having an elite storyteller like Elon, Karp, or Palmer on the payroll) still have a chance to break through the noise and be remembered.
As I reflect on 2025, there were only a handful of corporate “storytelling” moments that I really remember. And each worked for a different reason.
@anduriltech – Don’t work at Anduril
Their “chief storyteller” makes a cameo, but the campaign stands on its own.
@astronomerio - Thank you for your interest in Astronomer (featuring @GwynethPaltrow)
No notes. Will be studied.
@tryramp – Expenses should do themselves (with @saquon)
Executed in just a couple weeks, with a low budget, and benefited from a little luck sprinkled in (Eagles got it done).
@AnthropicAI – Keep Thinking
Human-centric, empowering, cool.
Friend (@AviSchiffmann) - Buy every billboard
Friend did something absurd, which we can call the “buy every billboard” strategy. Many people have criticized the campaign and the product, but the results from an awareness standpoint are undeniable. Avi spent $1-2M and became a household name (at least on the coasts). Many brands have spent 10x that amount this year and you still don’t know their names. This campaign showed me that billboards can have increasing returns to scale.
Hiring a storyteller to “craft narratives” and “tell your story internally and externally” is fine. But if the goal is to be remembered (and you lack a “Joe Rogan CEO”), remember that one great campaign is worth 100,000 posts.

One thing we actually did understand in crypto is that the political narrative aimed at achieving regulatory clarity (national security, economy) is not actually a very good or compelling omni narrative for a new technology. We did a decent job of narrow-casting the policy messaging (America should win crypto b/c you don't want other governments controlling the future financial rails etc) while attempting to tell a bigger more emotionally resonant story about what this tech could, in theory, achieve for people/businesses in the world that is better than the status quo. Even if at times our claims were over our skis from the current reality.
AI is dominated by the stuff that people on the website care about but the story is not scaling in a way that inspires mainstream audiences globally. Which is a shame because as Ashley notes, the utility of why this technology matters to our everyday lives abounds.
And like crypto, AI gets derailed by nihilistic voices that take up all the oxygen (see: "cheat on everything"). Had we in crypto had the proof points earlier on, we could have buried those voices in proactive storytelling. AI has the proof points, no reason to let the most mercenary of builders define the future.

Did you know that marketing agencies are one of the most crowded sectors in the market right now?
And yet, we decided to build one.
When we started Drumworks, we wanted to build a product, not just a service.
The world doesn’t need more content calendars or AI-slop tweets. What they need is a way to turn what’s already in their heads into something the world can see.
That’s why we built Founder OS.
Every founder has a voice the way they think, the way they’d actually say things if you caught them in conversation. We wanted to build real systems to excavate that voice and put it online in forms that scale.
We’re not social media managers. We’re ghostwriters and the ghost stays invisible. People hear your thoughts, not ours.
Because followers don’t connect with marketing. They connect with people.

One of our team members @reynardmkt joined @shefiorg a few months ago.
We as a team then wanted to run an experiment: how could she stand out in this sea of 2,000 women, 700 of them showing up to class every week?
Hypothesis: Everyone was posting about SheFi on Twitter, but the posts were scattered. Unless @maggielove_ (the founder) or the SheFi account reposted, you’d miss them. What if all the posts could be under one umbrella?
Solution: Create a twitter community. So she set up a community on her twitter page called Women of SheFi.
We didn’t really have a two page strategy for this, just a gut feeling that people would want to find each other more easily.
The community was made exclusive - you had to be part of SheFi to join.
@reynardmkt posted about it aggressively on Mighty Networks, reminded people in every class, even DMed folks and nudged them on Telegram.
Slowly, people joined. Within weeks, Maggie herself joined. The SheFi account joined. Suddenly this thing had legs.
Then we had to give more, make the girls want to stay.
We started pinning quality tweets, so even women with 20 followers were suddenly getting 2,000 views and 200 likes.
We encouraged notes from class to be shared, pinned questions so everyone could help each other.
Every Saturday, @reynardmkt posted 7 job opportunities - internships, design gigs, BD roles - the kind of work women just entering Web3 could actually apply for.
The response was beyond what we expected. Posts got thousands of impressions. People made friends. They onboarded each other to Base.
@reynardmkt’s DMs were flooded with thankyou messages.
Her own account, which had been stuck around 110 followers after her old one got suspended, started climbing - first 200, now nearly 300, only because she created something people wanted.
What you need is leverage: the ability to take something that already exists and use it to create value.
As Archimedes said: “Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.”
SheFi gave the lever. We just picked it up and moved.

Can AI agents evolve to a point where they make autonomous trades based on data that’s synthesised using real word events? If they do, will traders trust it completely? 👇🏾

In 1688, wealthy merchants at Lloyd's coffee house would stake their fortunes to insure ship voyages.
In 2025, crypto just digitised the same concept.
Two regulatory changes just unleashed Wall Street's staking stampede.
