I'm so excited to share the first paper from our 100-day study of adolescents' daily behaviors and cognitions! Find it here (1/3): link.springer.com/article/10…
We first validated a 100-day adapted version of the Stroop-Color-Word task and then looked at associations between inhibitory control and externalizing behaviors. We found that day-to-day fluctuations in inhibitory control were uniquely related to impulsivity. (2/3)
We also emphasize the need for more intensive cognitive assessments which are necessary for assessing heterogeneity and person-specific effects. The task is openly available as well: osf.io/9yabr/!

New pre-print alert from me and @Marybel08 !
In this paper we discuss how, despite being used as "control/nuisance variables", there is still little discussion in neuro spaces on how it is that we operationalize/contextualize #RaceandEthnicity.

To my fellow white parents (and any parent striving to be anti-racist), please read our @ChildFamilyBlog post. Today the #SupremeCourt ban colleges from considering racism in the admissions process. Let's remember that our understanding about race/#racism begins at home. 🧵1/3
Great blog by @LindsayTillHoyt, assoc prof. of psychology, and two @FordhamAlumni on fostering social justice: "White adolescents who are in environments that acknowledge racism and inequities take more actions toward social justice in young adulthood."

Replying to @kellybarrypsych
@kellybarrypsych and I recently published a #registeredreport, looking at hormonal milieus in the #ABCDStudy. doi.org/10.1002/icd.2415. 1/5
Even with a #registeredreport, we still ran into some unforeseen issues when cleaning the hormone data (e.g., boys with estradiol values, freeze time occurring before collection time). We built a decision tree outlining these issues. 4/5
And encourage everyone to check out @hertinglab's open source code and decision tree as well: 10.3389/fendo.2020.549928. 5/5
