This statement still doesn't establish whether all the people who were sent the phishing email get rings. I'm pretty sure they would say that if it were true.
MSG Sports has released another statement on the rings:
“There is a great deal of misinformation regarding the championship rings. The plan has always been to distribute more than 275 rings and jewelry to the people in the organization who were part of last season’s success. As is common with many teams, the players were always supposed to get their rings as part of the opening night ceremony and then everyone else will receive theirs in about 4-6 weeks. Regarding the phishing email, the process of securing and reminding our employees to protect our IP was not a mistake but the choice to use the ring to do so was a mistake and we apologize to our employees and the fans.
Winning the championship was a great moment for all New Yorkers. Those who choose to focus on the negative are missing the joy that comes with the team’s accomplishment.”
Steve Kerr going with the optimistic approach after this Warriors collapse against Memphis. Probably the message the team needs, but its been a bad pattern for an ostensibly veteran group the last few years.
The Warriors went up 106-94 and never scored again. Missed a couple open 3s, but Zach Edey was all over the place defensively. Edey is +27 in 22 mins.
Zach Edey is really moving well. He's gotten a couple stops at the rim backtracking here in the Grizz comeback, and also was the first to track down a loose ball in a full court situation.
Teams really need to watch film of how the Pacers defended Ty Jerome in the 2nd round in '25. He wants to seek out body contact going sideways on his drive to get into his floater and prevent the defender from jumping. Pacers, led by Nembhard, backed away and got him off balance.
Keyonte George with good defense on Dejounte Murray in crunch time, forces a pass to Zion, and then takes the charge on Zion's subsequent drive.
No matter who is on the team or who the coach is, it seems like the Grizzlies always commit a ton of fouls.
Lendeborg is going to be a fascinating player to evaluate. A ton of big strengths and weaknesses. He's been going right at Jerami Grant and beating him to the basket at will--even if he's not always making the right decision when he gets there.
Really really weird statistical game in Miami as the Heat fall to 0-2. Lost by 17 and our luck adjusted score had them winning by 10. They had 19 more true shots, way more transition, more rim shots, more orebs. Just couldn't hit a 3.
I think this gets overturned in Draymond's favor. He was there for awhile. He didn't take the contact square in the chest, instead protecting himself with his arms, but he was definitely there.
