Hey @espn what do you think about this?
Adaugo Nwachukwu STUNS 2-time World Champion Nonoka Ozaki with a last second takedown to claim a Senior World title at 62-kilograms #seniorworlds 🇺🇸🥇
The BEST!
Congratulations to U.S. Army Specialist Adaugo Nwachukwu, who captured her FIRST Senior World Championship at 62 kg with a thrilling 12–11 victory over Japan’s Nonoka Ozaki!
What a journey. Born in Nigeria, Nwachukwu moved to the United States, began wrestling in high school, became a three-time collegiate national champion, and joined the U.S. Army.
Now, at just 23 years old, she’s standing atop the wrestling world while proudly representing both Team USA and the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program.
Serving her country. Representing her country. World Champion. 🇺🇸🥇
Congratulations, Adaugo! 👏🏼
Flying to Kazakhstan and now it all makes sense
I'm not normally a clip guy, but this was absolutely savage by Adaugo as she gets a tech in the Quarters.

Really proud of Adaugo I know silver is not what she wanted but she will correct it and turn it into what she wants!!
Adaugo Nwachukwu takes home U23 World SILVER! 🥈🇺🇸
The William Penn grad and three-time NAIA champ dominated her way to the final: three straight tech falls (10-0, 10-0, 11-0), then a 3-1 semifinal win over Mexico's Melanie Jimenez.
Ukraine's Iryna Bondar got the better of her in the final, but it's the best World finish of Nwachukwu's career, topping her 2022 U20 bronze.
Next up for her: Senior Worlds in Astana later this month.
Unfortunately I’ve felt it before in a drill…. My life flashed before my eyes
