Seems like the new NIH vaccine “clinic” or “center” (officials have used both terms) is actually a study. Per Children’s Health Defense: childrenshealthdefense.org/d…
In a new poll, 15% of Americans said they believe between 1 and 5% of NCAA athletes are transgender.
14% think between it's between 6 and 25%.
Meanwhile, an NCAA spokesperson confirmed that the current number is "effectively" zero

Like too many Iowans, my sister Ulette is fighting cancer.
She’s also fighting her insurance company after they denied a scan to see if the cancer had spread. If you wonder how broken the healthcare system is, she is living proof.

I guess you forgot my X handle. Well here it is… remember the time you offered me thoughts and prayers for the CDC shooting? I rejected them because YOUR disinformation was likely partially responsible. How about the time you wrote terms of reference for ACIP that silenced CDC scientists claiming they were biased? Let the people know… do you think HPV causes cancer? Share your scientific process while you were on ACIP. Which domains of evidence did you consider before your committee acted. Did you grade the papers, consider bias and methods. Oh that’s right….You didn’t. Thoughts and prayers, Retsef. Thoughts and prayers back to you. Tag me next time. ❤️
Unlike what @washingtonpost & @bylenasun attempt to promote Demetre Daskalakis is NOT a ‘warrior’ of public health & science but part of the cult that tarnished any trust in public health!
The truth is that he actively tried to sabotage the scientific work of ACIP & the COVID Immunization Workgroup!
He worked hard to block discussions on any safety & efficacy issue related to potential contaminants in the COVID vaccines, their prolonged immunological effects (IgG4 class switch), the impact of documented frame shifting (production of unintended antigens) and prolonged vaccine injuries.
We should all be thankful that is not anymore in position of power!

This is a misread by the markets.
Moms are not going to settling for their kids being poisoned for General Mills to gain 8% on their stock.
This cultural movement has just started and we are not going back.

One individual advisor, who isn't even in a senate confirmed position, does not carry the political weight to force the White House to move (in any Administration)
I'm sorry, but I dealt with a few of these instances / appointee departure strategies in the first Admin, and here are some of the things I've learned....
1. Lasting policy change takes time and negotiation. There are a hundred reasons for why stuff takes too long... the only thing that is constantly true, is that everything takes longer than it should in the policy world.
2. Doing this right before the election might feel good in the moment - but all but destroys any credibility you have to work with the Admin. the rest of the term. Very hard to regain trust.
3. The Trump White House and HHS have been very strategic and very very good at lining up the timing of their priorities. I would expect some of the delay is the emphasis on communicating priorities focused on the midterms. I fully expect a number of wins in the food policy arena to come out in Q1 of next year.
Personal commentary: By all accounts Calley Means was a good operator within the department and Administration. But, this type of announcement, weeks before the election, just ain't cool or helpful to the cause.
EXCLUSIVE - Top RFK Jr. ally and adviser Calley Means has quit the Trump administration.
Means was frustrated by White House delays of some of Kennedy’s popular food policies and blamed others in the administration for allowing food companies and special interests to have too much sway, people familiar with the matter said.
One of them described him as “disillusioned.” wsj.com/politics/policy/call…

Before he blocked me, @calleymeans insulted me when I gently pointed out that the Admin has yet to put out its long promised definition of UPF. This admin did very little to address UPF under his “leadership” despite his bloviating about admin successes in this arena.
NEW: Calley Means, a top ally of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is departing the Trump administration after frustrations with White House delays on Kennedy’s food agenda.

This is irresponsible amplification of false information attempting to discredit a free and independent press simply for reporting the facts. Our statement replying to @RobertKennedyJr:

ALT “This is irresponsible amplification of false information attempting to discredit a free and independent press simply for reporting the facts. As we stated yesterday, Sheryl has not met Jack Leslie and has not spoken to any member of the NIH hospital board. She and her colleagues on The Times’s team covering HHS produce factual, accurate and responsible journalism that cuts through political rhetoric and provides valuable reporting for the public, all of whom benefit from clear and trustworthy information on public health.” — Charlie Stadtlander, a spokesperson for The New York Times
.@SherylNYT reporting on HHS is a three-legged stool resting on: 1. Anonymous sources, 2. Compromised sources with undisclosed conflicts of interest, and 3. Sinister speculation masquerading as fact—all in service to her unhinged hatred of Donald Trump. #TDS

With all due respect, the chairman of the NIH Clinical Center oversight board made a statement at a public meeting. The board approved the statement unanimously. I sought comment from HHS and reported it. Isn't that how a free press works in a democracy?

The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump.

Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.
