time to share what I've been building
it's a tool that allows you to see ai crawler traffic, and check if you website *actually* gets recommended by AI, Perfect for GEO
It's live now at trusttraffic.net 🚀🌑
#BuildInPublic #GEO
Trying cold outreach today. I once tried to find a site in my second language, and they looked horrible. Especially the mobile ui. So i looked for the worst one, and sent them an email. Wish me luck. Def not my best work imo.
#BuildInPublic
i'm so disappointed in founders who post their real follower count, their real views and the posts that flopped. where's the 'crushed it' energy? i have 8 followers and my best post has 110 views. i'm ruining the genre #BuildInPublic
nytimes.com: F. github.com: B. reply with your domain and i'll reply with your robots.txt grade.
trusttraffic.net
87% of bot traffic is desktop. 54% of human traffic is mobile (cloudflare radar, q3 2026). if your analytics says your visitors skew desktop, some of them aren't visitors. #GEO
a firewall rule runs before robots.txt. so 'Allow: GPTBot' means nothing if your WAF already said no. grade what your robots.txt says, then check the firewall yourself: trusttraffic.net/roast 🤖
there is no feeling like deleting 200 lines and everything still works. also no feeling like it breaking in prod 3 hours later 🔨
told myself 'just a quick css tweak'. it's 1am. i have rewritten the header twice. the header is the same 🫥
10 user agents. can you tell GPTBot from a scraper? takes a minute: trusttraffic.net/guess. what did you get?
hot take: blocking GPTBot is a choice. blocking OAI-SearchBot is self-sabotage. agree or am i wrong?
GPTBot gets blocked 1.6x for every time it's allowed. OAI-SearchBot only 0.91x. the one that trains on you gets the door, the one that cites you gets in. grade your robots.txt: trusttraffic.net/roast
cloudflare sites denied 13.47% of AI bot requests in Q3, up from 5.98% a year ago. your robots.txt can say welcome while your firewall says no. free robots.txt grader, link in bio 🤖 #GEO
Bots don't run JavaScript, so analytics never sees them. If GA says 0 AI visits, that's what it can't see, not what happened. That's why TrustTraffic reads server requests.
Same datacenter IP: publishers served Chrome 83.8% of the time but GPTBot only 54.2%. Sites are blocking bots with zero robots.txt lines. Your server logs are the only honest source. Check yours, link in bio
Roast result: nytimes.com gets an F on its robots.txt. Github.com gets a B. What does yours get? 10 seconds, no signup: trusttraffic.net/roast
234 of 592 sites that disallow GPTBot in robots.txt still served it a full page. Robots.txt is a sign on the door, not a lock. Built a free checker that grades yours. Reply with your domain and I'll roast it 🤖 #GEO
