This thing happened (but not the arrest part) to my sister a few years ago when she was trying to get home from Liverpool on the last train, a Trainline ticket in the app wasn't considered a ticket, I'm still baffled by it

So I've just been arrested at Liverpool Central Station. I bought a ticket on the Trainline, paid, got the ticket in my phone. Then I had to run to catch the train from my local station as I'm on the way to London for business meetings.... /1 youtube.com/shorts/GmGoc36-1…
