Hello friends...last year, my dear friend @conorglassey lost his mother, Ann, to cancer. She was a beacon of kindness & love. My wife is running the Chicago Marathon in honor of her & to benefit the American Cancer Society. Cancer sucks. Please donate.

Christie Wood is a gem of the baseball community, and I'm gutted for her and Sarah Kate's loss.
Christie’s husband, Kevin, unexpectedly passed away recently.
If you're able to help out in any way, please do:

The initial goal was after her first stroke & was only with a bathroom remodel in mind (tub ➡️ walk-in shower). Now that things have changed drastically, there will be medical bills and funeral costs.
Please share or donate, if you’re able.
Thank you. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

My mom is the best. She worked at the same elementary school for 35 years & impacted so many families in our community.
In the last month, she’s had several strokes & was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Shes now in hospice & our family could use help. ❤️

I’m sorry to hear this about a fellow Tar Heel. In my old gig at BA, talking to Roy was a pleasure, including deciphering fact from fiction (he excelled at subterfuge). Few scouts enjoyed players more. He couldn’t contain himself sometimes, & I loved his passion and storytelling.

When I told him why I was calling, he put the phone down, got up to close the door, and when he came back, he couldn’t contain himself. “What a player! He dominated all weekend at the plate, then got on the bump and sat 95!” His excitement couldn’t be contained. He loved players.

Quick Roy Clark story. In 2001 I was wrapping up a college baseball weekend of coverage and @GTBaseball coach Danny Hall told me how impressed he was by Kent State’s @JohnnyVanBee & mentioned Clark had been there. I called Roy, I belief in his office at Turner Field, …

RIP, Roy. Always enjoyed talking to him, he could tell a story & was up on all the latest draft gossip. Tremendous scout who played a large role in the Braves' extended success.
Quick one of my own... We were watching Carlos Rodon rip off some nasty sliders for NC State. He turns to me and asks how to spell Rodon.
Me: R-O-D...
Roy: Nope. C-A-R-L-T-O-N

What a legend. Always a pleasure seeing him at the ballpark and talking baseball. He will be missed.

Dodgers scout Jonah Rosenthal is making some progress but still has a long ways to go. Please continue your prayers for him and his family, and support them if you can: gofundme.com/f/support-jonah…

This is horrible to hear. Please help if you can and spread the word.
Jonah is a tremendous scout and human being. Thoughts and prayers for him and his family.
Baseball world -- He's one of us.
Jonah Rosenthal is one of the most hardworking, decent human beings I've ever met.
He loves baseball. He loves his friends. He loves his family.
He needs our help.
