Hey there -- wanted to take a quick moment to reintroduce ourselves. We're National Youth Bike Council - the only youth-led national non-profit in the US focusing on getting more youth on bike. Our aim is to promote cycling through youth leadership.
they say it takes a village. We are out to create a safe village for youth bicyclists and leaders . @youthbikesummit

There is something special about a bunch of kids who don’t really know each other all biking to school together. Watching them navigate each other’s movements so every is safe is truly something special. Today’s #BikeBus was that. The children were in flow. – at Portland, OR

Imagine that this could be your child, but every day. How much happier would they be?
'Don't blame having a child for the need to buy a car.
Blame your city leaders for making it impossible to cycle with children.'

Let's get this age even lower! Children love to ride bicycles and treat it like their wheels of freedom
Bring this topic to the #youthbikesummit why not?
“My mission: every child aged 12 should be a competent cyclist.” @BicycleMayor020 @KatelijneBoerma at #urban95festival. #childfriendlycities
Who knew that one bike trip would change our lives? We joined together from different youth councils from different bike shops and just felt so empowered to be the movement around health and freedom that bicycles bring to ourselves and our neighborhoods #YouthLeadership forever!
Bicycles will forever be a better option for children than motor vehicles, this is not the future we want for young people
1/8 children die when hit by an SUV
0/8 children are drivers
It's never a child hitting a child. Children also do not get a say in which methods of transportation they would prefer. No child would choose an SUV.

Those experiencing the joys of bicycling are the best candidates for feedback #youthvoice matters
Bike to School! First an interview with the news about safety! @PowellesPLAY @CWarzecho @WNCN @SpecNewsRDU
There are plenty of paths! Children and young adults should be a part of reshaping our streets. There is no excuse for not having youth voice in modern urban planning
Whenever we come together, discussions about our community transportation projects and their impact on our peers always stand out. Young people leading is a must!
#YouthEmpowerment #bicycle
Yeah. This is what our streets should look like every day.
