🥹❤️ Side story about the man who just won World Series MVP, William Contreras. One that makes you realize how much this moment means to him. Back in June, William spoke about the devastating earthquakes in his home country of Venezuela. He was emotional, heartbroken and struggling with the reality of being so far away from those who were suffering. You have to imagine he’s carried some of that heartbreak with him through this season. And when you think about what it must mean to go from winning the World Baseball Classic with his country to winning a World Series and earning MVP honors, all while knowing what people back home have been going through, it’s hard to comprehend the emotions behind this moment. so happy for him.
