You didn’t lose because of the war.
You lost because you’re part of a regime that’s been acting like an authoritarian group of fascists for the past two years. And America fucking hates it.
Fuck you.
You can watch this one-minute clip and arrive at one of two diametrically opposed conclusions: 1) this is wonderful as it demonstrates how inclusive Americans are; 2) this is astoundingly dangerous as it highlights some existential dangers looming in the future. Only one of those two reactions can be correct.
Democratic doctors were among the winners in the midterm elections, while the MAHA movement and President Trump's health agenda were losers. trib.al/lxTwpFC

Holy shit, I'd like to report a murder!
“RFK Jr... was here last week. He didn't show up when we were dodging lettuce over the summer... But he decided to show up last week to lecture you on... the scientific contributions of the 500 million Arabs in the world. But here's the thing. I got two doctorates. He's got none.”

It was a bad night for MAHA candidates. And fierce opponents to RFK Jr. won seats in Congress.

As a native Michigander, I'm so happy to wake up to this news. (I tried to stay up, but I had to work this morning.) Now, Sen.-Elect El-Sayed needs to be on the HELP Committee. Can you imagine how he'd handle questioning @SecKennedy? @SenSchumer, make it so!
The US has no idea the world of hurt that it has ushered. It is truly soul-crushing to see some of the outcomes. My reaction is not based on partisan politics but rather a deep love and reverence for the US (that is increasingly disappearing). I will continue fighting in the battle of ideas but I fear that this might be a fatal inflection point.

Lucky for him I actually answered all of them including the “grey area” for WIRED:

She has pledged to lead the charge to impeach RFK Jr.
Dr. Annie Andrews, a pediatrician and gun-safety advocate, has defeated Republican Sen. Darline Graham for a South Carolina Senate seat, according to the Associated Press. She’s the first Democratic senator to be elected in the state since 1998. on.wsj.com/4AgLUPr

Good work US, you've gotten to the starting line after two years of global bullshit. Survive the next months, and come January undo some of the massive worldwide damage done by your government, or at the very minimum, contain the damage. Now comes the real work, do your best.

Another example of the rapidly shrinking MAHA agenda:
This started out as a threat to take away hospital Medicare/Medicaid funding if they didn't align their food w/the new dietary guidelines (which say to avoid highly processed foods).
Where we are now: Kindly asking hospitals to make their food healthier.
Now 250+ hospitals out of some 6,100 hospitals nationwide have signed the voluntary pledge.
Hospitals have a responsibility to promote health in every part of patient care, including the food they serve. More than 250 hospitals are taking action to improve nutrition for their patients, staff, and communities.
I am calling on every hospital in America to join them, sign the pledge, and help make healthy food a standard part of health care.

Dr. Michael, you have a PhD and apparently missed a rather important chapter in biochemistry: human metabolism.
Your body produces formaldehyde every day. It's a normal intermediate in metabolic processes, including those involved in making amino acids and DNA.
A newborn naturally contains 50–70 times more formaldehyde than the maximum residual amount in a vaccine dose.
Yes, formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. That classification comes largely from studies of occupational exposure, particularly inhalation.
Dose matters. Route matters. Duration matters.
And there's no evidence that the trace formaldehyde in childhood vaccines causes leukemia.
You've taken a genuine fact about carcinogenicity, ignored basic human metabolism, and manufactured a frightening conclusion.
A PhD ought to know that detecting a chemical isn't the same as demonstrating harm.
The MAHA movement was nearly invisible on the campaign trail and struggled to find a financial or messaging foothold in key races. To some of its most vocal supporters, the very soul of MAHA is at stake today. bit.ly/4yg7BxI

Pro tips for Election Day while you wait for polls to close:
1) Stop touching grass. Don’t go for a walk. Don’t exercise. Go home. Keep scrolling Twitter all day. The next tweet you see down your feed will definitely tell you what’s going to happen before anyone else knows.
2) Trust anonymous accounts. They are the most reliable sources of information today.
3) Overreact to everything. If you see someone say there are long lines at a Republican-heavy precinct, assume it’s a red wave nationally. If you see someone say a precinct is empty in a rural area, confidently declare that Democrats will win a supermajority in the Senate.
4) Anecdotes are to be trusted and extrapolated. Especially if they are from anonymous accounts (see #2), and especially if they are about how busy precincts are (see #3). Bonus points if they have a hammer and sickle or an American flag in their bio.
5) Don’t drink water. The whole “drink eight cups a day” adage is just Big Water™️ industry trying to make money off of you gullible sheep. Drink only coffee and energy drinks. Maybe a Four Loko circa 2010 if you can find one.
6) Look at the clock a lot. Contrary to popular opinion, time does go faster when you are watching the time.
