It’s clear that #vaccine efficacy against #DeltaVariant infection is low. Its also clear that efficacy against severe disease is high. So let’s stop scaremongering with case numbers and focus on severe cases in vaccinated vs unvaccinated? Need to monitor long-term effects though

people ask me what the #DeltaVariant increase in #israel means. it does NOT mean a wave like before- we’ll see a sharp increase in infections but not hospitalisations/deaths. the vaccine is effective against severe disease/death. We’re in a much better position than pre-vaccine
