😃 Busby would have gotten rid of the parasite infestation but Ferguson never did and could have easily.
There is only ONE man on this planet who is able to save #ManchesterUnited from these Glazer and INEOS parasites. If Sir Alex Ferguson just broke his silence and called these scumbags out.. THINGS WOULD CHANGE! #ManUtd #GlazersOut #IneosOut #RatcliffeOut #BoycottUnited

Tomorrow, when you see the front pages of the right-wing press telling you how dreadful the budget was, remember their track record. Also remember that right-wingers won’t ever be happy with any budget that doesn’t push down on those at the bottom to benefit those at the top.

Tesco are making £4bn a year in profit. About 50% of their staff are on Universal Credit. Why don't we crackdown on this unneeded benefit for billionaires?

A man bet €60 on two horses and believed he had turned it into €319,440. Ladbrokes refused to pay, citing a racing investigation he wasn’t part of. He launched High Court proceedings, and a year later he got a fraction of it. – Dylan Phelan, 25, from Dungarvan in County Waterford, worked at a racing stable for trainer Declan Queally. – On April 19, 2024, he walked into a Ladbrokes shop in Limerick City and placed a €30 each-way double on two of Queally’s horses. – He took Ladbrokes’ early prices of 80/1 and 125/1. – Rocky’s Diamond won a maiden hurdle at Limerick, and 22 minutes later Diamond Nora won a mares’ maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe. – His €60 stake had become €319,440. – But when he went to collect, Ladbrokes wouldn’t pay. – The company said it would hold the bet until the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board finished investigating the two races. – Race stewards had referred both winners to the regulator because of their apparent improvement in form. – The regulator confirmed that Phelan was not under investigation. – Other bookmakers had paid him on smaller bets on the same horses. – Ladbrokes’ shop terms capped the payout on a bet like his at €100,000. – Phelan said the investigation had nothing to do with him. – Ladbrokes said it waits for an investigation to finish when a sporting body is looking into events it has taken notable bets on. – Phelan launched High Court proceedings and waited for a hearing date. – More than a year later, his story went public and spread to millions of views online. – Eleven days later, in April 2025, Ladbrokes agreed to settle the bet after talks with the regulator. – He was paid €100,000, not the €319,440 on his ticket. He risked €60 on a double that won €319,440. Both horses won, the regulator cleared him, and he waited a year while Ladbrokes held his money. In the end, he was paid, but only a third of what his ticket said.

Tesco could pay every worker an extra £10,000 and still make a profit. British Gas could pay every worker an extra £35,000 and still make a profit. Shell could pay every worker an extra £300,000 and still make a profit. It is the billionaires who are ripping you off.

We are facing an unprecedented coalition of hostile states, enormously wealthy far-right individuals prepared to spend many hundreds of £millions to swing elections, and a media and social media ecosystem which they almost entirely control. And we are simply not ready for that
Since the beginning of Trump’s second term, American democracy has been unwound at frightening speed. Analysis by the V-Dem Institute shows the rate of democratic backsliding in the US is faster than we saw in Hungary, India, Russia, or Serbia. Billionaires in California are spending $333 million to wage a war. Against what? Homelessness? No. Cancer? No. Child poverty? No. They’re waging war against a 5% billionaire wealth tax. They’d rather poor kids with cancer die than pay a little more in taxes. That is obscene.

AfD co-leader Alice Weidel presented a plan in Strasbourg to turn the EU into a loose federation of sovereign nations, and said Germans should vote on leaving if the changes aren’t made. The strategy paper, “Sovereign Nations, a Common Europe,” would end direct elections to the European Parliament and have national parliaments appoint MEPs instead. It would take away the European Commission’s sole right to propose laws, leaving it an administrative role, make the European Council of national leaders the main decision-making body, and replace the European Court of Justice with an arbitration tribunal. “The EU is not a group of sovereign states any more,” Weidel said, adding that “national parliaments and governments need to take over the decision-making process.” The paper also calls for deep cuts to the EU budget, a “fundamental overhaul” of the euro, and reversing net-zero targets and the 2035 ban on new petrol and diesel cars. If an AfD-led government cannot win “substantial changes,” the paper says “the German people should then decide for themselves which path Germany should take,” meaning a possible Dexit referendum. This is a change in tactics from the AfD’s earlier open support for leaving the EU, with an eye on Germany’s 2029 election. Mainstream EU figures rejected the plan as unworkable.
