CA Prop 1 has lots of problems, but it passed. Whether that's for good or bad now comes down to implementation.
In @latimes, I argue that simply adding $$ and beds is not a real plan. Poorly delivered care can backfire.
So how do we get this right? 🧵

This is the same ridiculous and disingenous reporting tactic used after homeless encampment sweeps. The solidarity encampment was clean, super organized, and provided access to university buildings. The Administration shut down these buildings and the police trashed this camp.
CAMPUS 'TRASHED': Garbage, tents, water and old food were seen littered in UCLA's quad area as KTLA's Annie Rose Ramos made her way to Royce Hall, which was also vandalized with spray paint and messages such as “from the river to the sea” and “Free Palestine.”
