‼️ Hackers are breaking into the Nintendo Switch 2 with a Civilization VII cartridge. Its publisher 2K is reportedly recaling the physical copies.
The original Switch cart has an unpatched flaw. CivSwitch, a tool by modder Gezine, uses it to run code fed in from a phone over USB.
That opens the Switch 2 to saves, mods and homebrew apps. It can't run pirated Switch 2 games, for now.
One buyer says Amazon cancelled their order over a 2K mandate and "technical and security-related requirements." 2K hasn't commented.
Some buyers say they were offered the code-in-box edition instead. The exploit doesn't work on it.

Someone asked Claude to start their trading apps. It reportedly found malware that had been hiding on their PC for months.
Reddit user u/Moedawi85 shared the story on r/claude.
They weren’t asking for a security scan. Claude was checking running processes for duplicate trading bots when it spotted entries that didn’t belong.
According to the user’s follow-up, the investigation found:
> Fake Windows tasks running scripts from AppData
> Hidden processes starting with admin rights
> Scripts restarting Chrome and Edge with forced extensions
> A fake “PDF Viewer” extension that could read browsing activity
One script explained something the user had noticed for months: Chrome would close and restart when opened.
The user later shared a cleanup report saying Claude stopped the hidden process, disabled six scheduled tasks and moved suspicious files into quarantine.
The report also identified an Edge keylogger that had allegedly been sending keystrokes to an outside server since May 28.
All 16 trading bot processes reportedly stayed running during the cleanup.
The user said Windows Defender had returned a clean result, even when scanning the quarantined folder.
This is a user-reported account, without independent verification. It doesn’t establish that Claude replaces antivirus software.
But it shows how investigating unexpected background processes can uncover a problem someone wasn’t looking for.
