Dr. Yonatan Adler has demonstrated that it's only from ~150 BCE onwards that we find Judeans practicing a set of dietary restrictions (!) Salafis do not realize the Jewish practices they appropriated and criticize us for are far younger than they have imagined @dawahxdialogues

Prof. Israel Finkelstein has just published this article in which he argues for a very late dating of certain Biblical texts. Some of this he has discussed before, but some of it (as far as I know) is quite new.
Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves.🙂

I released a new video on my YouTube channel covering 10 things I found interesting in the new Jay Stratton UFO book
Stratton ran the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force and investigated UFOs for the government for many years
Check it out!

Curiously the targum identify the first three Servant songs as an individual messiah but it's the last one, Isaiah 53, that is interpreted metaphorically for a collective. This inconsistency may reflect a reaction to early Jewish Christians appealing to Isaiah 53 for Christ
The Gospel of Luke is a redaction of Marcion's Evangelion. The anonymous author added many legendary embellishments to the early life of Christ, including the annunciations to Zechariah and Mary. This legend also found its way into the Quran (see Surah Maryam) @IjazTheTrini
Fr. Avery Dulles, S.J., in addressing whether it's possible that the eternal Logos appeared to other peoples in forms relative to their culture (e.g. as Buddha, Krishna, etc.), replied in the affirmative
Plato argued that God, being the Supreme Good, is absent of envy or jealousy. If movement of passions is therefore relegated to lesser entities, where does that leave Yahweh and Allah in the chain of being?
Kurt Rudolph argues the gnostic savior myth is of pre-Christian origin and was tied to proto-Gnostic baptizing sects of the Transjordan

I believe Vallee may have learned about ufo-baiting as early as 1967, when he discovered the Pentacle Memo in the files of J. Allen Hynek.

Deuteronomy 16:18-18:22 outlines a government run by national assembly without need for a king. If a king were appointed he would be made subordinate to written Law (!) This has no precedent in the Ancient Near East but does fit Hellenistic thought
Did Greece inspire Israel?
Philip R. Davies argues Deuteronomy best fits a 5th century BCE provenance and functions as a "colonial program" to define the identify of a people. He considers the Biblical story of Josiah discovering a Law scroll (=Deut) to be a "complete fiction"
An outdated model of early Christianity pitted an early form rooted in Palestinian Judaism and a later Hellenized form found outside of it. In reality, the Palestine of Jesus' time had a legalistic form of Judaism & other more esoteric variants. IMO Jesus belonged to the latter
Jacques Vallee in a journal entry on October 18th, 2022, describes the deeper reality of the Phenomenon as "devastating". We may infer that the nature of the problem is *more* destabilizing than simple ET visitation and abduction. Time appears limited and we may not be in control

Sneako rode the red pill wave while it was hot. Then he jumped off the boat as it was sinking.
Then he did the right wing grift (remember his Trump endorsement?) but then left after he realized he’ll never be accepted (remember his crash out about Haiti?)
Now he found one community so desperate for clout and approval that they accept anyone.
Islam has become the final stop for people desperately looking for a place to be.
Is this a good look for our religion?
Jacques Vallee, scientist & successful venture capitalist, pursued ufology after witnessing the French Space Committee destroy tapes of a UFO. After decades of research, he concluded we are not dealing with ETs but a "spiritual control system"
Could this be behind all religions?
Raymond E. Brown delicately scrutinized the historicity of the Virgin Birth and described it as "an unexamined doctrine taken for granted"
In his book on the subject he still signaled the *possibility* of its historicity and therefore was able to obtain the censor's Nihil Obstat
Marcion of Pontus, the great Paulinist of the 2nd century and creator of the first Christian Canon, defended the doctrine that the god of the Old Testament was not the God of the New
We must ask how both Johannine and Pauline schools came to uphold this same conclusion
See Litwa's argument regarding the Fourth Gospel:
