I’ve sized into $PLUMBER heavily and genuinely believe it will be one of the biggest PVE runners this cycle (not just on Base). Here’s why: Coinbase listed a Base meme nine days after it launched. BASECAT went live on the 15th of August and had spot trading on the 24th. That’s not the Base I’ve known for the past two years. Something has changed. The first sign that things were changing for the better was when @cobie joined the Base team in July. Upon joining, he opened by admitting they’d burned goodwill with crypto natives and that he can help them to redeem themselves. This is where PLUMBER comes in. The plumber term came out of the @frankdegods , @notthreadguy and @blknoiz06 argument and then Cobie began posting memes about it. PLUMBER is one of the most CT aligned memes of any cycle. Not because it’s a cute mascot. But because “plumber” is already the language of this cycle. The OGs in the space are embracing the title and taking pride in it. And who would you rather be? The brocolli head teenager who bundles coins on axiom and gets excited over 100k toppers OR the plumber who top blasts coins because it looks good, uses the uniswap frontend and still outperforms everyone else. We’ve got Base chiming in and hinting at hosting a Plumbers vs Trenchers competition, top CT figures using the name and even Kalshi getting in on the fun. All the stars are aligning for PLUMBER to go on a generational run and if Base has changed for the better, like I think they have, we should see things start to move very very soon.
