Make sure to have some cash as well.
BREAKING: Japan to urge all citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of food and water in preparation for major disasters and events, with an official emergency request set for November 2. "At least three days, and I'd like to say a week if possible… please prepare food, toilets, and water properly at home even without public assistance," Japan's Disaster Management says. It comes just 2 days after the Pentagon started to prepare every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war. The UK launched the "Be Ready" program 5 days ago, also advising all citizens to keep 3 days of key supplies, including bottled water, non-perishable food, and a battery or wind-up FM radio.

Japan's call for citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of supplies is longstanding official advice for natural disasters like earthquakes and is tied to the scheduled November 2 launch of its new National Disaster Management Agency. japantimes.co.jp/news/2026/09/2… maff.go.jp/j/zyukyu/foods… ibtimes.co.uk/japan-househol…

I'd expect Monero to reach a new all-time high next year.
From July 2027, no exchange in the EU is allowed to touch Monero or Zcash. Who do you think that protects? 🤔

I've added some altcoins during this dip that I think are at decent prices for a nice swing trade: litecoin:native , bitcoin-cash:native , and dogecoin:native . I'm also keeping an eye on solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 and will add if it drops to $95.

Anyone else think litecoin:native is fairly valued for a swing trade? I just bought some and it’s been consolidating for a while now.

Should have bought Monero. I own Bitcoin, but at this point it's just an speculative asset.
Putting 50% of my net worth into Bitcoin is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made

Bought more $QNT tokens during the dip, so it’s nice to see them going back up today. I’m not sure if it’s a long-term hold, though. I like to gamble here and there, but someone suggested I hold at least 10 tokens and wait until 2030. Let’s see what the future brings lol.

Bitcoin (-7.3%) and Gold (-7.5%) are the two worst performing major assets so far in 2026. This is something we haven't seen before in any calendar year.

Gosh, not this nonsense again...
Look. I’ve got no problem with the #monero crowd. But they just can’t seem to accept the fact that just using non-KYC #Bitcoin makes $XMR obsolete.

I always check those swap services on @xmr_club before I make a decision. Pablo Cash is scoring a ''C'' which is already a no-go for me.
$913,000 in XMR disputed between a swap service and its user, and nobody can prove what happened User says he sent 1,438 XMR to Pablo Cash OTC to swap these funds in two transactions, 700 XMR and 738 XMR And got nothing back Right after deposits the swap service went down for maintenance and blamed a PHP vulnerability Pablo Cash says funds never arrived and cannot find the order IDs or the deposit address in its records It also points at the screenshots, 700 $XMR transfer shows an earlier block with fewer confirmations than the 738 one, while both phone screens show the same time The dispute is now in arbitration on a forum

Yet another example of why you should never use a node you don't trust. We are extremely selective about the default node + optional nodes in @cakewallet for just this reason, and I am fanatical about securing our infra to protect our users against things like this. I have never understood the Electrum Wallet approach of connecting to random servers on each start as it has led to many severe vulnerabilities being exploited there. That being said, this underlying vuln is a fascinating one (and much easier to exploit for an attacker than previously-known RBF bugs I've seen) and likely affects almost every Bitcoin wallet right now until patched, so stay safe and run your own node or use one from someone you trust. We'll have a patch for Cake Wallet out first thing this week to ensure that even if you opt to connect to malicious node this attack will not be possible.
ELECTRUM BITCOIN WALLET CONFIRMS CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITY EXPLOITED IN THE WILD Electrum has disclosed a high-severity vulnerability allowing malicious servers to trick users into sending Bitcoin to an attacker when increasing a transaction fee. The attack works by intercepting a broadcast transaction and replacing it in the wallet’s history with a fake transaction redirecting funds to an attacker-controlled address. If the user attempts to increase the fee using Replace-by-Fee (RBF), Electrum can sign the malicious transaction, sending the Bitcoin to the attacker. Electrum confirmed two reported incidents, including one user who lost funds. Attackers even generated addresses matching the last four characters of the intended recipient’s address. The vulnerability affects versions before 4.8.3 and has been patched in the latest release. Users are urged to update immediately and verify all destination addresses and amounts before signing transactions.

Europe self-destructs because its bureaucrats refuse to correct their catastrophic mistakes on migration, energy and warmongering. They prefer to deflect and shift blame onto the US and Russia. As the European Revolution spreads, President Putin comments on the EU’s blame game.

Should have used Monero.
A hacker stole data from the Pentagon, Europol and 40+ companies, built one of the dark web’s biggest stolen data marketplaces, and was eventually caught after accepting a $250 payment in Bitcoin. > Kai West, better known online as IntelBroker, was accused of running a major stolen-data marketplace on the dark web. > His alleged victims included Apple, AMD, Cisco, Nokia, General Electric and Europol. > The operation was also linked to claims involving sensitive US government data, including information about members of Congress. > For years, IntelBroker operated under a pseudonym, selling stolen data while trying to keep his real identity hidden. > He reportedly preferred Monero, a cryptocurrency designed to make transactions harder to trace. > Then came a $250 deal. > In January 2023, an FBI agent allegedly persuaded him to accept Bitcoin for a purchase of stolen data. > That payment became a crucial lead in the investigation. > Investigators spent years connecting online accounts, cryptocurrency activity and other digital evidence to identify the person behind the alias. > In January 2025, IntelBroker announced he was stepping away from the forum he had been running. > Three weeks later, French authorities arrested him. > The case involved allegations of MILLIONS of dollars in damage and attacks affecting dozens of organizations. > He allegedly spent years hiding behind an online identity, only for one transaction to help investigators close in on him. The hacker who relied on crypto to hide his tracks may have made one of his biggest mistakes by accepting a different coin.

Nope.
Would 1 Bitcoin be enough to turn your life around?

Monero is a long-term hold. The rest of the ''altcoins'' are just for speculation.
